Is there a big difference in quality of dumps and number of official game dumps between the fullsets: GoodSNES 2.04, GoodGEN 3.00, GoodN64v3.14, GoodNESv3.14, GoodSMS 3.13 (Updated GoodMerge) X GoodSNES 3.27, GoodNes 3.23b, GoodN64 3.27, GoodSMS 3.20, GoodGEN 3.22?
No. There's no difference in quality, it's the same files, perhaps labeled differently if anything. The only real change is, hacks, and fan translations, and fangames, and weird oddities are added to the set.
Do these older fullsets that I mentioned have all the hacks released in the 90s? Back in the console era?

Yes. New sets are made just for the people constantly making new files. Any set you can find created in the last 20 years will have everything from the 90s. With the exception of perhaps prototypes, never intended for the public.Quote:

If you really cared to know you could compare the incremental databases of these utilities and see when dumps were added. You don't need the rom files for each build to see what they added. Though that doesn't tell you when games were first dumped, because games were obviously dumped before they'd be picked up by rom sorting programs. And *first* dumps would've been before these programs even existed. *First* dumps are why things like "bad" dumps are kept, tremendous skills were poured into those first dumps. Introed games are amazing works of art and deserve preservation.
To make the dump you need a device to copy the eeprom file from the cartridge to some floppy disk, card or other media
In the case of no-intro and tosec fullsets, the ROM dumps were extracted recently and not 20 or more years ago like in the Good fullsets?

The instances roms on current systems getting extracted is a thing. If any romset is replacing that rom as the singular correct file, that romset would be garbage. It should be added to the set with some tags indicating what it is.
Nintendo doesn't usually make new roms, they just download them like anyone else. They've already been caught doing it, as they weren't bothering to remove headers.
1) Is it wrong to use DAT No-Intro + GoodSet fullset in ROMVault to analyze the quality of the dumps and the number of official games?
2) Do the GoodSet fullsets have all the ROMs of all the official games released until the early 2000s with at least 1 good ROM dump for each region (U), (E), (J)?
3) I thought the following: because the goodsets are old and no-intro is new, they redumps of all the games for these platforms (official games until the end of the console era (mid-early 2000s) and hacks from the console era, a kind of redump in which the no-intro ROM files would be new redumps (using some device to extract the ROM from the original cartridge's eeprom again) so I thought because the goodsets are old, the dump was not perfect and complete (kb, mb) like the most recent no-intro ones
