Xenoblade Chronicles running choppy?

I''m really new to emulating anything but gameboy advance games and am not very knowledgeable about emulation in general. I really want to play Xenoblade Chronicles but it runs really choppily, enough so as to be basically unplayable. Also, I cannot open chests, and I'm certain that my controller is configured right. After some cursory googling, I switced to OpenGl, which helped a bit, but there's still some skipping and I still can't open chests. My computer has a NVIDIA GeForce GT 620 graphics card and an Intel i5-3330 CPU @ 3.00 GHz. Help with these problems would be much appreciated!

Thank you, I stumbled upon that page earlier and did everything that it suggested, is it just thatmy computer isn't good enough? Also, the chest thing is really weird and makes a lot f quests uncompletable, so I'd still like help with that if anyone can offer it.

There are things that can be done speed things up but not much and it helps if you have a semi powerful PC
