When I instaled xpsp3, my pc lost about -80% of it's speed, this does not seem to be a virus or worm or anything, but possably a bug in the service pack. Iv cleaned up my regestry and search out every possable solution and just can't find anything, it like being traped in the
twilight zone, anyone got an idea my pc spec's are
Xp home edition Verson 2002
pentium 4 1.8GHZ
256 MB ram
Your PC is too old to run SP3 at a good speed. Years ago, I had an AMD 1ghz that ran fine, I updated to SP2 and it ran like crap.
I had no problem with sp2, just this sp3, I tried uninstaling it but it wasn't in the add/remove program's list,
and it removed the restore point when I installed it, so now I can't seem to get rid of it, do you have any idea's how
I can get it of my system?
The SP2 comment was just comparing your problem with SP3. It's down to how old your PC is.Quote:
