What DS emulator is best to play commercial games on the PC? What specs are required to run them at playable speeds?
My specs are:
Intel core2 duo CPU @ 1.20 GHz
.97 GB Ram
Graphics card is Mobile Intel 965 Express Chipset Family
Internal
256 MB
Mobile Intel GMAx3100

Currently No$GBA appears to be the best overall with DS emulation. The specs aren't really listed, as it seems to vary greatly from game to game (some run smoothly even on low spec computers, others are laggy even on gaming PCs).
I guess the only way to be certain is to download it and give it a try.
You'd need the latest version to have games be fully playable though (the one you have to donate money to get, btw, with it, you don't need to mess with save types).
My computer (P4, 768mb ram and 256 X1050 graphics card) plays FFIII and Assassins creed at decent speeds, surprisingly. This is on the new No$GBA
i use No$GBA but i was also curious are there any other good ones, that are free?
There's Desmume, though really if you want to play DS games on a pc, you should get the latest version (pay version) of No$GBA. Desmume has something it doesn't though, which is screen rotation/resizing.
In my opinion, the closest one to NO$GBA (at least when it came to most of the games I've tried) was IDeaS.
