1. I just got iDeaS emulator and was wondering how well it plays. I am in the process of downloading somethign to play but figured while I was waiting I would see if it is worth my time to use the iDeaS emulator...
2. I am downloadking FFCC: RoF and since it will be in Japanese I was wondering if there are any engligh language patches available.

No$GBA is probably a better choice, but try iDeaS too if you want.
The latest version of No$GBA will cost you $2.50 USD, but you can download the previous version for free:

And don't expect anyone to bother going to the trouble to make an English patch for an RPG that will be officially released in the US in about 6-9 months.
After iDeaS didn't work I got no$GBA 2.5c. When I went to load the FFCC game I got some Japanese writing and a picture of a DSLite with an arrow pointing to a DS Card and the arrow had an X through it. I think it meant that it couldn't read the "card". Is there some kind of Bios or something I need for the emulator to read the downloaded version of the game i have?

EDIT: The game file I have is called ind-ffcc.nds
Start the game > go to Options > Emulation setup > set NDS Cartridge Backup Media to something else > you'll have to experiment to find the right setting (try Flash 512K)
Then go to File > Reset Cartridge > and restart your game.
If it doesn't work, try another NDS Cartridge Backup Media setting, like Flash 256K.
When you find the right one, go to Options > Save Options to have No$GBA save those settings.
