need help!!!

guys i having problem to my pc regarding to my device..

1st, when i try to eject cd or to open my cdrom, the drive having a problem of ejecting or opening it, i dont know the reason why.

2nd, there are times that my monitor displaying blurrred image until the screen become black, i know that the problem is not in the power supply instead in the monitor itself, would you give me some information regarding to how to fix it.

3rd, i bought a gamepad for my CVGS, the controller works but when i try to configure the button in CVGS, i can't configure it. i dont know why.

please help me.. i dont know how to fix these problem, i try some troubleshooting but it didn't work, thank in advance... :sad-no:

Your drive is having issues opening? About how long does it take to open? Are you sure it's not just busy?

What kind of monitor do you have and how old is it? If this is a CRT monitor you could try degaussing it. Go into your monitor menu and find an circled inverted horse shoe magnet icon crossed out. When you see it you'll know what I mean :P Select it and the screen will look like it's about to explode for a few seconds.

Can't help you with the CVGS I'm afraid :(

About CVGS. It's old, it's crap. Get ePSXe or pSX.

thanks pandaman for the advice... hmm. about CVGS... thats the only good emulator that working in my pc... because of my spec.. i cant handle ePSXe...

Erm I'm sure you can handle ePSXe. It works on virtually anything. Doesn't mean you get nice graphics, but it works.

For ePSXe:

Minimum Specs:
P200 MMX
256 MB RAM
Good 3D card

Recommended Specs:
PII 500
512 MB RAM
OpenGL compatible card

guys instead of ePSXe i tried psx emulator it doesn't use plugins but i have a problem... i cant run it... it required a .dll file that i cant install to my system

this is my spec
processor - PIII 800Mghz
video card - 16mb , i dont have 3dfx
ram - 128mb
manufacturer - samsung

that's all i remember to my system..

I ran ePSXe on a machine slower than that and it ran just fine. But anyways, what .dll file does it say it's missing?

It's probably the DirectX dll, they give a link to it on the pSX homepage.

I ran ePSXe for years on a PIII, 600 MHz, 128 MB, Intel GFX, Win98SE machine with only occasional slowdowns that would happen in a few games.

Unless you have a really crappy video card, like a Savage card, you should be able to use ePSXe, PSXeven and SSSPSX (the best plugin based PSX emu's) on your computer.

Which video plugin did you use with it?
And how come people seem to have trouble getting games, including emulated ones, to work right with that card?

That wasn't it, the card I'm talking about is an S3 Savage IX 4mb card. S3 Graphics turned out some craptacular drivers, I modified the .inf before I installed them. I used Pete's OpenGL btw.

the d3dx9 26.dll, i finally DL the file and now im going to test it if it is working, i will post in this thread if i met a problem, anyways thanks for the help guys... mwah!!
oh!! wait i forgot to tell, what kind of virus that it can disable the run in the start menu..?
