Final Fantasy VII help!
ok, so i finally got my PCSX emulator somewhat working. in the readme file for the PCSX, it says that to start up a game, all you have to do is toss in a playstation disc and hit control-r (run cd). as soon as i do that, PCSX closes out and says there was an error with the program... any advice? the only thing i've done to the PCSX emulator is save the BIOS in the appropriate file it asked for, and it's still not working. any advice would GREATLY be appreciated.

Get a newer emulator. PCSX was an early PSX emulator that is no longer being developed since they are now developing PCSX2. ePSXe and pSX are much better emulators and should work well for you.

i would love to, but i'm pretty sure that my macbook wont support any other emulator... any advice? i know there's a way to play FFVII on a macbook, but i'm having such a hard time doing it.

See if your Mac can run one of these, if it can, then just get a PS emulator for PC and Voila! You're playing FF7! And using one emulator to run another would be freakin' sweet.

We just had someone ask for help with PSX emulation on MACs the other day maybe this will help.

Since your new to PSX emu, look through these guides for what you need:

correct me if i'm wrong (which i probably am) isnt there a version of ePSXe on MAC?`
-
No.
There's one for Linux, but not for Macs.

I'm not on a Mac to test these, and intended to link this in my previous post.
These are the Virtual PC Emulators you mentioned. Most say that you need to install your own copy of windows, so unless you have Windows or there is a good PS emulator for MS-DOS, then these may not help.
EDIT: Crossover in this section says that you don't need Windows to run Windows apps on a Mac with it. The page that the link here takes you to offers a free trial for your viewing pleasure.
