Election Day coverage!

Well seeing as election day is today, I've decided to be EP's reporter on all the action....

Anyways here all all the states.
There is a total of 538 electoral votes and 270 is needed to win, as if you didn't know.

Bush: 274
Kerry: 242

Winner: George W. Bush
Kerry conceded.

George W. Bush has also recieved the most votes of any candidate in US history, and is the first candidate since the early 80's to win more than 50% of the popular vote.

Bush won 29 states: Alabama, Alaska, Arizona, Arkansas, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, Nevada, North Carolina, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Virginia, West Virginia and Wyoming

Kerry won 18 states and the capital: California, Connecticut, Delaware, the District of Columbia, Hawaii, Illinois, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Vermont and Washington

So far, New Hampshire is the only state to switch parties from the 2000 election outcome.

Well, it's certain Kerry wins, because i'm posting and all. So, that means Kerry won.

Unintelligent question - who's Nader? All I know is he's independant, hasn't got a shot of getting into office, and that I'm too damn lazy to Google search to find out.

He is a slightly liberal independent who runs for election alot.
