Long time no see, It's been a while since I last logged on here. Anyways, I've been playing (7th Dragon) for the DS.
What makes it unique to me is that its like a cross between Etrian Odyssey with its classes and Final Fantasy cause of the overworld layout and navigation.
Would recommend to avid classic rpg gamers who can put up with not knowing the full story since it's in Japanese.

No Grubbins on Ice DLC purchased sadly (but I would once I got 10 bucks), yet it's really fun and a refreshing RPG
Wasn't cutting it, so I started Rogue Galaxy. Seemed really promising at first, with some really cinematic cutscenes. . . but the cartoony childishness is really turning me off, and the story isn't making the obnoxious encounter rate and simplistic battle mechanics worth my while.Quote:

I started up Chains of Olympus, and it's really not too bad. It doesn't look very good or anything, but it plays pretty well, and I think it's more interesting than the latest AAA GoW title that came out.... Ascension or whatever that turd was.

Just finished up playing a couple classic Blizzard games. Lost Vikings(Snes) and Blackthorne(32x). Great games very fun!! Looking forward to playing Cold Fear(Xbox) and Obscure (Psp) next up.
Suikoden Tierkreis to me has got to be one of the best RPGs for the DS, I absolutely love the game dispite the not so high quality english VAing.Quote:

Nah, all the mixed reviews discouraged me from giving Tierkreis a genuine shot. In fact the only Suikoden game I've ever played is Tsumugareshi Hyakunen no Toki on the PSP (never finished it though), and that was... kinda eh. :wacko: It does have a pretty cool and soothing soundtrack though, which I very much recommend checking out.Quote:

While Wyrm's right that the direct connections are small (some recurring characters from the first, and the first three games [the true series] share a recurring villain), the first game is only like 25 hours long. It may not be on par with Suikdoden II, but is still a great game in its own right.Quote:

Started Bioshock Infinite a few days ago. You know, that game that I bought back in March? Yeah, that one.
Enjoying it so far. Gonna try and find all of the collectibles without a guide. Something tells me that's not going to happen. :dread:

SIV truly is an awful game, but it atleast showed the origin of a character from the original game. And although I couldn't have cared less about whatever land in SV (Falena?), making a prequel to the first game, that doesn't take place ages before the series opens up a lot of possibilities. The sixth game, which will probably never be made mind you, could be about so many things! That old freedom war or whatever; the messed up shit before SI that made Humphrey go all mute, a SIII sequel in harmonia with Sasari going all "you guys didn't tell me >: (((((" etc etc. As long as it's one day actually official that Hugo's the son of Luca Blight I'll be happy. While there's still plenty they can do with the world and characters, they still feel like separate games with some weak tie-ins. Even where the first three games were totally separate from one another, Yoshitaka Murayama clearly had a bigger picture in mind when you consider the themes and narrative threads that did carry over.Quote:

Super Mario 64 Star Road (Hack).
Started playing Tomb Raider (2013). So far so good, really liking it. Might go for the platinum but the multiplayer trophies are a huge hurdle. So if anyone would like to boost the trophies speak up!
Milady bought it recently. And I think Drag has also considered going for the Platinum. I haven't touched my copy yet, but if the multiplayer part isn't too time consuming and boosting makes it more bearable, I'd give it a try too.Quote:

Well the multiplayer is pretty much dead so getting the platinum the legit way is just not possible. So eh you are probably looking at a couple of hours of boosting... There are different boosting methods to reach level 60 (solo, 2 or 3 players) but the problem is the several combat related trophies that you just can't do without the help of someone else.Quote:
