G'morning all.
We've just been informed that our job centre lost the contract to extend its work with our company for another year or so.
I.e. vacation hours will be paid out (under heavy taxation), we'll have to hope our new agency isn't a bunch of gits, and so on.
Glee.
Just had a heap of curry and now I feel bloated and tired
Tired.
Bed.
Later :bed:
Later dude.
Looking at TES III mods.
Fishing Academy Mod (2.0)
Vvardenfell Druglord (2.0)
:thot:
That's cheap compared to what some of my PS1 games cost. Though expensive when you consider you probably can't get the damn thing to work. I tried it in virtual machine, but the fucker lagged like nothing I've seen before. I downloaded all the programs needed to run it in Fail7, but never got around to actually trying it.
If you're looking for a copy for personal use and not just comparing prices for shits and giggles, check torrents. If no luck, let me know, I have a "copy" I can "lend" you.
I've had all of them for a while now.
But I only have 3,4 & 5 retail. The rest are dumps.
I've got the full manual & comic for Redguard...would be nice to have it CIB though.
The $50-60 was just for the discs in jewel case with slips. No box, map, manual. And the comic may only have been a limited thing for the first 100 or something. Not sure, but not everybody has it anyway.
CIB perfect condition can fetch well over $100. In fact I've seen prices over $200.
Yup. That sounds like PS1 classic price. Tactics Ogre cost me $230. Suikoden II would have actually been worth that amount.
You want to see redonkulous?

and. . .Uh, since I was willing to share Redguard. . . any chance you'd share scans of the manual and comic? *nudge nudge* ;D
Back read complete. Time to do some more farcry.
I've actually only got issue 24 of the comic, never got around to hunting up the rest and I assume it would've been issue 1 that was with the game, but I really don't know  it was just something I came across on the web one day, someone mentioned the comic came with some of the early retail releases. All the CIB's I've ever seen for sale don't mention it.
The manual is a pretty poor scan, mostly readable but I'm not sure if you would really want it (PDF is around 2.6MB). Pocket guide to the Empire is there (it's part of the manual).
Actually I just found it in a quick google. Feel kinda silly for asking now; I just assumed it was uber-rare considering how hard it was to find the game. And I never even heard of the comic before. I'll have to go into OCD scavengerhunt mode later!
I'm strangely compulsive about TES in general even though I never even played Arena, and didn't finish either Daggerfall or Battlespire.
Man I really hate Farcry 3 at the moment. Fucking game crashed again.
Is there a bank holiday in the UK today?
Google says it's not a bank holiday in the UK.
Also, it's typically celebrated on the sunday preceding the 11th.
Silly wankers.
Actually, looking on wiki (not that I trust the info all that much) it looks like Canada has a Remembrance Day holiday, but the UK and other commonwealth countries don't.
I guess we're just too cool.
That, or the brits don't need to be reminded every year how many of us they got killed because they couldn't handle their own wars.
You guys use it as a holiday because nobody else does
I never knew this though:
Quote:
In Newfoundland, Canada, the Gallipoli offensive is commemorated each year on 25 April by the Royal Newfoundland Regiment who hold a march from Government House through the streets of St. John's ending at the National War Memorial. Members of both the Australian and New Zealand armed forces are invited each year to participate in the march and wreath laying ceremonies. Other Canadian communities also mark Anzac Day; Calgary has had a Cenotaph Service annually at Central Park with participation from the local military
25th April is ANZAC Day. Here and NZ. If it falls on a weekend we still get a holiday in lieu.
Not a holiday here. You guys just have it because no one else does.
Any excuse for a day off is good in my book. Or, in this case, any excuse to double my wages for the day.
We do that although it's not generally regarded as a big deal. I've run into that about one time since moving here, and that was mostly because the procession marched right through the university campus on the way to the memorial (said university was also named as a war memorial of sorts and was initially filled with WW1 veterans upon opening its doors).
We also have a weird double-holiday of sorts. July 1st is both the date Canada became a country and the anniversary of Beaumont-Hamel, one of the biggest misfires in the retaking of France. On the one hand, cake and BBQ. On the other, the british commanders wiped out about 4/5ths of our country's entire military force by marching them right into an ambush and subsequently not doing anything to fix it. It took less than a half hour to render a shitload of kids fatherless. As such, we eat our delicious festive cakes in a somber manner and wash it down with strong alcoholic beverages.
Also, multinational win is relevant today:
What is it with Man-hands in the Artworks thread?
Off to work...wah. :(
Spoiler warning:
The hands are elongated because she's a fucking necromancer. Rudeeeeeeeee :fist:
