To be fair though, each FF (excepting gimmicky sequels) is really its own standalone game with a unique story and system, not self-replicating clones like Assassin's Creed or Call of Duty. They milk the title, sure, but it barely constitutes a genuine series.

The whole CoD thing is much like FF anyway.
The old games are nostalgic, the newer games are just; wtf...this shouldn't be in the CoD/FF franchise.
