Going in for surgery next Wednesday Spinal stenosis in c4 and t4, doing a laminectomy on both areas. Should be a smooth surgery but damn if I am not freaked out still. Hoping this leads to a full recovery and me walking normal again.
looks like I solved my problem with my dvi not working. dual monitor mode or something similar in the bios was disabled so I enabled it or it could have been the option for non-compliant pcie cards. either way it's resolved.
so I think now I'll do a fresh os install.
Be sure to set the CL and other timings as well (the 9-9-9-24 numbers from the sticker). You could mess with the rest of it but it's not worth it and the best sticks likely got binned into higher tier lines.
went to install win 7 ultimate x64 from the disc I have everything was going fine then I get to the windows loading screen bsod 3 times in a row and now I can't get the installation disc to launch and when i finally did I got a "machine error" and a crash :bang:
Why are you installing win7?
Which SATA mode is set in the BIOS? If it's IDE, change it to ACHI.
Starfield XSX
Network install using disc as download token.
101GB
Have to do some DLC codes too... pre-order and also premium upgrade.
My router has been getting more unstable lately so I swapped to a spare d-link I had. Seems better so far but this is used so I should really get a new router.
I'll see if there's anything still boxed and sealed at work tomorrow
watched 2 movies today. 1st was Idaho transfer it sucked and had a bleak and bizarre ending. 2nd was genesis 2 it wasn't too bad. I felt it had a bit of a star trek influence but given when it was made it was to be expected.
Just grabbed s1 of Foundation. Never heard of it before.

I changed the timings and clock speed for my memory to what it should be. I was able to launch windows after a couple minor hiccups. now if it stays stable I can start installing my drivers and apps.
The plane depicted in the movie? No.
No He 111 ever had a tail like that not even the Spanish built variants.
Or are you asking about the Ho 229 proto? Yeah that exists. Pretty sure it's at the Smithsonian but probably still in pieces and not completely restored.
Got a TP-Link WR1043ND boxed and sealed.
Just swapped over to it and disabled wireless.
watched dark star today. a scifi comedy that's so bad it's actually funny.
I'll pass on modern adaptations of70-80 year old books .
desktop is nearly done I just have a few things left to install but need internet for most of them which means I have to reset my router in order to connect to it but I just don't feel like doing it today so I'll get to it tomorrow morning.
just watched boy and his dog great movie star Don Johnson(that's part of why I liked it)
No slight against the books. I don't care much for Asimov but he was a competent author.
My only issue is with the "modern adaptation" part of the equation :P. If it were made 30 - 40 years ago I might've given it a shot.
I enjoyed what I read of the Robot series well enough .
