What, you can't even look at the specs when people link from Newegg? Even if you can't buy there, it's probably one of the best sites out there for "This is what you need to buy." And reviews that actually give some decent information.

No, no, it's just that when I ask for help I get a "get this it's $50 on newegg". Which, okay, it would be awesome if I could get those pieces at that price, but I can't, so can you tell me if 'this' is good enough? It's the only video card I can get here.

I've got a small monitor, so I don't care much for high horsepower, if I can play some stuff in mid-high settings at 1366x768 I'd be very pleased, since I'm not changing my monitor anytime soon.

Yeah the 4670 sounds like a much better choice.

With modern cheap cards, you're probably better off just getting a used more powerful last generation card... Like a 8800GTS, 9600GT, 9800GT, something like that. Those probably cost around the same as the 220 because LOL OLD, DOESNT RUN CRYSIS AT 1920x1080 LOL, POS.

I stopped using benchmark sites for that reason. :P They use modest cards, with i3's, 8GB and 2048x1920 resolutions and bitch how x game doesn't reach 120fps. :wacko: That isn't very helpful to me. :P

That been said my gf still rocking a HD3870 and thats still going strong thats like 3 gens back now

but aye i recommend a HD5770 as there a lil more powerful than a HD4870 (i own one) but cheaper, cooler and smaller

I had a 3870 in 2009 I believe it was. Very nice card, but I ended up selling it. :wacko:

I got it for around £30 from PC World but the fan was broken and it blew up my power supply. :lol

About two weeks ago a traveller family pulled up beside me and asked where the priest house was, it was right behind me. The man then started a story about how their baby in the back was sick and they needed money to buy petrol to get home from kilkenny, now I'm not a scientist, but they were driving an 08 bmw. Rofl I had to upgrade my PSU for this HD4870 xD this fucker eats power like no tomorrow, runs hot as fuck but does its job great xD

When i popped it in the power supply before i upgraded it couldnt even stabally show my desktop xD
