Of course I am. I work my nuts off at this job. I just hope it doesn't go unnoticed.

The army isn't for me. :shock:

You can get jobs in the Army Reserve over here and you won't get deployed.

Like office admin...you just have to pass a basic physical, and then do basic training...they take people up to around 50-55 years of age iirc.
And you still get free dental and all the stuff the regular army people get, without being in a war zone :booger:

I went for army training early 2008 and passed Phase One in front of the Sargeants and General, which is a requisite for being commended on to the next and final stage of training. But I chose the seemingly easier option of staying at home all for the sake of money when the opportunity arose. I've went through a bit since and I know hanging up clothes or working from behind a desk isn't really for me nor what I want to do for the rest of my life. I want to have a stories to tell others in years to come.

So, what is it you do? Given your hope in not going "unnoticed", something where you can be promoted I take it...

I would like to be dispatched overseas - I am applying for light role infantry, after all - but I've heard a few cases where people don't even get in on the action.

I'd be worried about being dispatched from this earth.
But if I lived in the states (or some other places) I guess being sent to a war zone might actually be safer :thot:
