Welp, time for a family trip lol.
3 hour car ride, so not too bad. Got the hotspot going on my phone and have the laptop connected to it. Time to relax for a while.

The last Zelda I came close to finishing was Phantom Hourglass.
Yeah, if you're emulating it using the Wii-U, you can kinda trick the motion controls (Using a Xbox 360 gamepad, I messed around with the camera and controls and was able to get it, after fiddling around with it for some time, still tedious). That's how I got that one where you need to flip the ball using that platform.
Also, I think a remake/reboot of the Motorstorm triology would be great. Was playing it last night, the game really was one of the best racing games.
Yeah I managed to do a couple but their was another couple that were just too much of a pain. So I just left those.
Takes forever to go through the options and enable xbox gamepad motion controls too. Doesn't always work for some reason. Switching back is easy enough though and works every time.
well my "new" desktop is finally(well nearly)set up and windows is up to date. I got around to doing some testing on it checked out duke nukem megaton edition, morrowind and oblivion. Oblivion is running good so far on med settings the other two games are running mostly fine duke has a weird screen tear like issue but otherwise runs fine morrowind's colors looks a little washed out might have to mess with the options a bit my settings didn't transfer when I moved the .ini file.
I also installed dosbox and with the dfend frontend(that is a time saver) played some classic nukem for a bit.
Well we finally got rid of the arseholes that've been running our country for years now.
Have to wait and see what the new crowd are like, some people don't like the new PM but at least he came from a poor background and isn't a religious fruit loop. Anyway, we'll see.
I actually didn't know for some yearsSpoiler warning:
idk
He knew the founder of hillsong iirc but after all the allegations of crap going on he distanced himself from that.
Weirdo Christians.
I think the US is full of them though? Over here there aren't all that many compared to mainstream traditional denominations. Imo those kinda Christians are little better than cultists.
When I say rich I'm not really talking about all people with heaps of money. I'm talking about people that either own or have major stakes in big companies etc. Multi-milliionaires and billionaires. And yeah, the enormous companies multi-national or whatever.
You can skim millions from these sources here and there and it doesn't make a difference to their profits or assets.
I think the US is even worse than here when it comes to taxing the really rich individuals and big companies. Rich people everywhere use all kinds of tricks to reduce what tax they need to pay.
As you say, they have all sorts of ways to skip out of things. If not that then it's a political buddy that gets it done for them.
Beat GU2 yesterday evening. I thought I still had my GU3 save but the one I moved over definitely isn't the right save.
also just finished duke nukem episode 1 on to episode 2 :)
man dos games used to be cheap at the end of the game after the credits there's info for ordering the remaining episodes they were priced at $15 a piece or $30 for all three plus extras O_O
They don't try anymore now that they don't have material costs to worry about .
right.
the original is pretty good not nearly as hard as it seems the levels are kinda big later on so it can be a bit tedious at times.
I'm the in the middle of DN3D and I stalled because it feels like a bit of a slog. If I could have more modern style controls I wouldn't mind so much.
I have it on Xbox. Still fun. Can't rmember if it comes with extra shit and mod stuff like Doom 1&2 does though :thot:
god I fucking hate M$ updates. I thought I was already up to date then hey look you have 1 important update of 868mb an hour and a half later you have more updates 60+ of them >:
You can always ignore non-essential updates .
hard to ignore when M$ thinks all the updates are "essential"
I finally managed to get it up to date this morning, it's annoying as hell when it takes 30min to 1hr just to check for updates and I have to download smaller amounts of files at a time otherwise it tends to bug out and stall the download indefinitely.
I know my net isn't super fast but in't not dial-up fucking slow either, at least now I can get back to the games I was playing the other night.
Does that version of Windows have any service packs? I always skimmed over the update info to determine whether or not it mattered, back when we had a say in the matter :P.
also is it possible to get the win 7 aero theme on 8.1? I really miss that.
Doesn't aero eat up alot of resources too?
