I just spent everything I had on something that I'll likely see no return on. At least I have some sweet arcades to fall back on when I'm bored. :P

Only program I know of with a GUI that allows use of the more advanced h264 options.

The program you're using probably just rips to Xvid, Divx, or h264. The options outside of bitrate for any codec are only for getting better compression while maintaining quality. Anything worthwhile is time consuming unless you've got multiple CPUs, or if the encoder supports CUDA/APP.
