Fear Factory - Corporate Cloning
So far, the best song on Archetype. Christian should have stayed the bassist, and they should have snatched someone better than Dino, rather than someone who can only tremelo pick...
Perfect Selection Gradius - Arrange - Free Flyer
Listening this from Gaming FM.. Sounds ok, added some guitars to this one.
In Flames - Land of Confusion
It's not In Flames' best song, but it's still good
Queensryche - Operation: Mindcrime
Listening to it the whole way through. Gotta love concept albums, however cheesy some of them may be considered to be. I bought it this morning.
Converge - Fault And Fracture
From Jane Doe, their best album. They made a video clip for this one...
My Red Cell - Knock Me Down
Excellent, reminds me slightly of another band whose name escapes me, tragically. Still, top tune.
Thursday - Standing on the edge of Summer.
They may not be entirely one way or the other (in terms of genre), but they still hold a place in my music collection. This song is just one of the many songs that just happen to have lyrics that mean special things to me, or/and are tied in with memories that I won't soon forget.
"We drive for hours and still no end in sight at all.
Driving in your car, miss the stop sign, fall in love, just to get knocked out.
Pull your punches and burn with your cigarettes.
Pulled like a punch and burnt like a cigarette?
forever."
"Symphony of Destruction" by Megadeth. Good ol' metal is good for your ears.
Rhapsody - Unholy Warcry
The only good song on their newest EP. "Saruman" does a bad job, by the way.
If you want "The Dark Secret"-EP, I'm putting it up on 'nova tonight. (PM me and I'll send you the torrent :))
Blood Brothers - Ambulance Vs Ambulance
Been meaning to check them out for a while, don't know why it took me so long, they're great....
Hoobastank, Reason
Heard it on the TV, and liked it. Now i am scouring for their songs...
Dream Theater - Metropolis Part 1: The Miracle and the Sleeper
Not many songs give me a hard on. With it's tempo changes, odd time signatures and random abuse of some roto-toms by Mr. Portnoy, this song does.
Lothlorien - Supernatural
Surprisingly good band. Only one album (yet), and it's awesome. Sounds like In Flames.
/me immedeately searches for Lothlorien's album. :D
I'm listening to Clad in Shadows ('99 version) by In Flames. Great remake of the song.
Uh Howie, where could I find this album? ^^
