I had World at war on 360 and it was pretty good. Spent a lot of time with a buddy doing splitscreen with the zombie thing :lol. Always wanted to get Dragonage but never got around to it.

Getting a PS3 again, pretty settled on that I think. The bundles seem to be cheaper now even vs the 360 and won't have to spend extra to get a play and charge pack for the 360 which always pissed me off.

You could probably pick up DA:O Ultimate Edition for around $20-$25 and get the Awakening expansion and all the DLC with it. If you enjoy that style of RPG, you'll get a lot of hours out of it.

inFamous is great fun, but it is incredibly short. Same with Uncharted 3. I enjoyed Arkham Asylum, but haven't played Arkham City yet. A lot of those games are definitely short, but you can pick 'em up for around $20 and get a decent amount of gameplay out of them. Then again, this is from me going through and :platinum:ing them, so playing through multiple times on the hardest difficulty kind of skews the amount of time I spend on them.

There are a bunch of great games, but it really does depend on what genres you actually enjoy playing. If you get that bundle with PS+ you were talking about the other day you'll get a ton of games to try out over the course of the year, which is nice. The only shitty thing is they disappear if you don't renew.

I would probably end up doing platinum thing so that would grant me some extra hours!!! I backed up all my stuff from last time so at least I'll have one lonely plat to start off with :P

I'm a Baldurs gate nut so I'm sure I'll enjoy Dragonage. Infamous comes bundled with some systems now so who knows, I may find it for only like 5 bucks when the time comes then I'd have no excuse not to get it.

A general rule of thumb that I follow is to never buy anything used that comes with redeemable codes inside, unless I don't care about those items.

Yeah, I really should have. I was pretty pissed off, and I don't know why I didn't return it - probably just general laziness. And what's really shady about the whole thing is I'm pretty sure the Gold Edition actually came on two discs, and the code just unlocked the content on the second DLC disc. I could be wrong, but I'd be willing to bet that my memory is correct :-)

Okies.
Just wanted to check what platform 'cos with 360 you can just get a dirt cheap secondhand copy of DA basic edition (which isn't worth anything at all really) and then pirate the drm free dlc's.
Same story with Mafia II and various Bethesda games.

I don't use play and charge.
I've been using rechargeable batteries for heaps of things for years, so I've got a good rotation routine :P

360 bundles are still cheaper than ps3 here (both variants) although the ps3 ultimately has larger HDD's.
But I'm pretty sure 360 games take up less space anyway, so :shrug:

Just checked, and there's a $100 difference between the 500GB ps3 and the 250GB Xbox 360 (both are bundle prices).

But I usually avoid buying used if it's something I'm mad keen about and definitely want the codes to work.

I do too, but this game came out before the whole DLC code revolution happened, and with it being on 2 discs I didn't think anything of it. I learned my lesson, that's for sure.

I have two on Tuesday and a massive cert someday after. I get to choose when. Its my very last semester so its pretty light in comparin to past semesters but I do also have to write about 16 pages of "journals" and a "what did I learn" paper for the internship that I worked all semester.

I have to wake up before noon and try not to shit myself when I force out my farts later tonight.

Well that's the rub, 360 is generally cheaper but you're getting less stuff. Also with bundles that come with a game they seem to be much better games with the PS3 and the prices on the PS3 have come down now anyways too.

Technically AIDS isn't the name given to a virus/plague/epidemic, it's the name of a particular disease that caused an epidemic.

For example, I could call something that was a disaster a catastrophe. But I couldn't really call something that was a disaster a Hindenberg. Well, I could, but it's just... not the same.

I agree that is my least favorite part of the game also, I have seen a ton of people who like it the most though.

That boggles my mind though, just like in the character contests they have in the back of manga volumes sometimes. How the hell do such minor characters that never do anything beating out main characters?

Because in fairness, that scene had a few things going for Dio at the time. He did sort of own the place Cloud and the others were standing in, after all. Plus, I think Cloud would consider butchering his way out of there to prove his innocence to be counterproductive to his point. Yes, he's got few compunctions against killing where necessary, but this wouldn't be one of those situations.

That's what I believe, of course, so feel free to disagree. :P

I can't remember exactly how I beat him, but it usually came down to keeping up Big Guard at all times, and healing like mad after 4000 hp had been removed. :P
