Wrong sense of the word.
By "showered", I mean, facing too many players online.
I really should try to find different words for my portuguese terms.

I think I'll take a trip to Japan and steal one .
Started playing Ultimate Marvel 3 again. Learning my Nova combos and trying to form a decent team. I only know that either Nova, Magneto, or Doom will have to be on my team. I wanna learn how to use Strange more.
My contribution for the thread:
A obscure game.
Spoiler warning:
I can't seem to get used to Doom enough. I know a couple of combos with him, but I never learned the Buk combo or the Clock combo. I think I'm going to try to learn them, though. I came up with a fly combo that works anywhere and does around 600 with one bar, and 890 with Level 3.
I'm going to start learning Dante a bit today. I already know how to Bold cancel into other things, but I don't know the meaning or purpose (or in some cases, the motions) for a lot of his moves. I want that raw ass Jam Session assist, though.
Nova was the first character that I put any work into, and I feel like he's my strongest character since I have a few combos that work anywhere on screen and know his properties enough to not mix him up with anyone else. I just wish he had a faster low attack, a faster airdash, and could dash cancel his air normals. If any of that existed, he would be broke. His damage potential is just too much for shit like that.
With Magneto, I only am 100% with his Crouching LMHS delayed superjump MMH [airdash forward H]x2 fly [H airdash forward]x3~6 combo. I can convert it into his Level 3 on anyone anywhere, though.
Dr. Strange just has those Palm combos that I've been working on since I got the game. I haven't decided what I'm going to do midscreen (probably Cr.LLL Palm S MMH delayed Palm land MH Palm S MMHPalmS Smell of Ashanti).
Pfft, what's a "combo"? I just jump, dash forward, air M until it hits... I should really play more Marvel.
As far as Dante goes, he's a easier on the execution what with the single button moves instead of inputting the same motion again. He got shit on by the overall reduction of hit stun. You can still style, just not as much as Vanilla.
I think I might have part of my team set.
Nova on point. This is the biggest item on my list. Nova is my team, basically. He's my main character and he hits like a truck and builds more meter than Wesker, though his combos are a little more difficult to do. Got some basic shit under the hood now. Works anywhere and does 422.6 meterless and 596.2 with one bar.I got a couple of combos that do more, but are more situational. I can't seem to do Lots of H midscreen, so MMH Fly LMH CentRush S (or super) is my current midscreen game.
The good thing is that I don't need an OTG assist since Nova already has two OTGs and can combo out of either at any time.
Well, some OTG assists can set up unblockables, like Wesker's Samurai Edge, but others are OTG but... don't hit low somehow. I'm not at a level of play where I have to think too much about unblockables. I need to get fundamentals and conversions down. I don't have ToD combos in my mind when I play. I just want to do damage and make you NEED to take a character out of the match.
As for my team, I think I might run Nova on point, Wesker on anchor. Wesker anchor scares people because of XF3. The thing is, I count on people snapping him in instead of killing Nova. This is fine. My Wesker is decent. He was my vanilla main. I have two extremely heavy hitting, reasonably mobile battery characters on my team. I'm not too concerned with losing either, to be honest. XF3 Wesker can kill anyone in a corner Cobra Strike OTG loop. Nova has an XF3 corner infinite with Medium Centurion Rush (not that he needs it since LMHS MMH fly LMHS Forward H does enough damage to kill 80% of the cast with full health).
I need a mid. I'm thinking Strange, Dormammu, Doom, Magneto, or someone else.
Wesker's a solid choice, of course he is Wesker, so yeah.
I never really tinkered with Dr. Strange so I can't really speak too much about on him besides the fact that he's kinda fragile. Dormammu is practically a sleeper, I'm surprised he doesn't see more play, though I can't even recall what his assists are and if they are any good. Doom is too good, he can pretty much fill as place on a team, hidden missile is way too good of an assist and plasma beam gives you access to some interesting mix ups with Wesker's teleport.
Oh and Magneto is the master of magnetism, enough said.
Dorm isn't much of a sleeper in Ultimate. He's apparently up there in the tiers with Wesker. I'm trying to learn how to play him aside from typical zonezonezone shit. Dorm can do damage and has his lil combos.
Strange is hard to move around. He's a large character with a decent dash, great teleport, and weight. He falls pretty quickly, but he has no airdash or doublejump. XF3 Strange is harder to control. He has to delay any superjump after a launch or he'll drop the combo. Also, I haven't been able to use his fly mode in any combo.
Dorm is a sleeper in terms that nobody fucking uses him. Seriously I hardly run into anyone running Dormammu, maybe once every sitting of MvC I play I'll run into a Dorm player.
I'd probably stay away from Strange if he's not on point. I'd be kind of wary of having such a large hitbox with so little health.
Yeah, that's a huge problem for me too. I can't justify using Strange's big ass. I just can't do it. 800K health in a Sentinel sized character? Unacceptable.
Dorm is interesting. He has this little shit he can do if he corners you. With the right spacing (don't let that phrase fool you, corner opponent, stand in the center of monitor), you can do Forward H, jump forward MHS, land MHS, superjump MHS, Pillar, Super. Does ~668.3K for one meter and it works on anyone. Still don't think I'm going to seriously use him, though. He's too slow.
Use Rocket Raccoon.
When did Captain America become good? You mean to tell me this isn't Vanilla anymore? You should use him.
I've always been pretty stubborn with putting Strider on my 2nd and 3rd slot. If you're willing to put in the time to figure out what the fuck he can and devote the muscle memory to the cruel timing of his OTG, he's pretty potent.
Strider is a great middle man or anchor. Not a great point, though. He needs meter to be scary. His Vajra assist is awesome, as well. Even though it's not invincible, it homes, grants a hard knockdown, and is hard to stop. I just don't like Strider in this game. I don't know. I hate having one character be too entirely meter dependent.
Also, CapAm isn't good; he's just better. They gave him back his double jump and America Flip™ is invuln and able to pass through people. Oh, and L.SS OTGs, so he can do damaging combos now, but he's not good yet.
I think I might go back to Iron Fish and stick him in as my middle man, with Nova on point and Wesker or Strider on anchor. I gotta learn Strider, though.
After shopping tomorrow, it's all about the lab, working on synergy and shit. I already know that Wesker and Nova have no special synergy together, but that's not quite what I'm looking for anyway. I might end up using Wesker's JagDash assist instead of SamEdge to give Nova or Iron Fish a way of closing distance since JagDash is a fast, multi-hitting, forward-moving attack.
I already know that Strider's Vajra is an alright lockdown assist since they can't risk jumping without an upward special or random attack super.
This post will be continue tomorrow.
So yeah, anyway:
I know that Strider has a dope assist in his Vajra, but his OTG is odd and has super gross timing, but the good thing is that if you miss the OTG and they get up, you get to the put them in decent blockstun which allows you to get back in for more pressure and mixups.
Iron Fish will always be the weakest link on my team. I know a few damaging combos with him and it's great because I played with him enough to know that I don't have to take them into the air with the terrible MMHS crap. I like to do a loop in the corner that leads to Fists of Fury, then link a B to juggle into another Fists of Fury or Rising Dragon. Shit does like 800K on anyone for two bars. Midscreen, as far as I know, it's impossible to juggle after the FoF, so I would just convert into RD and be done with it for like 650K.
Alright, things to report:
In KOFXIII, some people complain of my SF4-ish links.
Because they are SF4-ish.
As always, people complain of King's Multi throws.
And I'm not as rusty in SCV as I thought I was.
And putting UMvC aside for the moment.
Played it too much recently.
That is all.
This place needs more Mai Shiranui in its diet
Alright, so I started playing with Team Douville (a local high-level Marvel player) which is Hawkeye-A/Nova-B/Skrull-B. I got SCRAPED using this team. I've modified it a bit since the order wasn't what I was looking for. I can run with some success:
Nova-B/Hawkeye-A/Skrull-B
Nova-Y/IronMan-A/Magneto-A
Nova-Y/IronFist-Y/Magneto-A
Raiding the remains of Snesorama's fighter games while I still can
Well, back to playing Soul Calibur V now that I'm done playing Kingdoms of Amalur.
Pissed off email sent to the local post service out here >.> when there loose a somewhat large box with a NETBOOK in it, enough is enough...
I beat King at YGO twice in a row.
