I'm starting to think this job isn't for me.
If I'm lucky, I'd get about, 2 days a week to work for only an hour or so. That's...Not really worth it. :|
Your hours might increase over time and if you ever want to look for another job having a job looks better on your C.V./Resume.
Beep bop
I've been considering grabbing a second "I don't give a fuck job" for the future.
Actually the description says hours aren't subject to change, sadly enough. And my friend, (Who worked for UPS as well) said that they normally re-hire people after their temps are done. Except the one I'm being interviewed for. :sigh: I dunno. Maybe I should keep looking. 'Cause working that few hours just, doesn't work.
It's possible that it's not even worth the gas for him to drive to work at that point.
And yes, let's remove that smiley.
Honestly it's not even worth wasting gas for. Just like Gyp said. It's bullshit but oh well. I was really excited for this job too. Guess it's time to look some more...
I have no comment! =)
Normally I'd agree, but if it's only a temp contract and the reference/experience helps him get another job it's worth it.
Plus it gets him active again which I suspect is going to help in itself. As long as he's breaking even I'd say just do it, especially if it's only a couple of hours a week.
Umm. Don't you guys have minimum working hour laws or anything???
 NO, Iv'e never even heard of such bullshit. People are always out to get you. Last year the big deal was reducing full time to 28 hours a week and increasing minimum wage. That never happened, so many jobs simply reduced hours per employee and paid them the same. I got fucked over for the majority of a year until we moved. Not everyone can be bailed out by their congress or what-have-you. ... "minimum work hours," he says.
Umm ok. Seems kinda silly to post a job for 2 hours a week.
What I was thinking of actually was if you're say scheduled for four hours and go home early because there's no work you have to be paid for that four hours.
Also fuck off.
It's really silly. And they don't say anything until after you apply and shit. Then that's when the truth comes out.
nothing like beer and cheez-its
Unions are bad for business. It means you have to put extra effort into exploiting people
Football boner. It's raging.

So I just found a ziploc bag that can't open....
