Probably. I would format the drive first then install. If you just "upgrade" it'll probably migrate the passwords.
Is GTA: The Defective Edition worth it, if it is on sale? I see it keeps going on sale at my local shops.
Depends what platform I guess.
I got it reasonably discounted for XB1. For that platform SA was already available (but 360 version) so it's the only real way to play the other 2 games on that platform atm.
But if you're looking at PC or PS4 I would probably just :pirate:
PS4 I think the original games (not sure about all 3, I need to check my backup storage) are available fpkg PS2toPS4...
Supposedly they remade them with Unreal but I have a sneaking suspicion they just ported the ios versions.
I mean it does look better and fits the screen and controls are fixed a bit (they still suck compared to modern games) and for some reason you take wayyyy more damage than I remember from the og versions. I've still run into pop in graphics and once a bridge didn't spawn and crashed to my death. Still it depends if you really want to play them again. If you see it for 5 bucks why not? Otherwise I would just stick with the pc versions and mod them or emulate the og ones on ps2.
I'm actually playing San Andreas right now but it's included with gamepass (leaving soon though) and vice city is on ps+ but it may have left already. I dunno if they're going to switch them up when they leave.
Before definitive trilogy arrived... SA on XB1 was 360 version which, iirc, was based on android version anyway.
Even if you had original Xbox SA disc it would dl and install 360 version.
Probably still better than RE4 XB1 though, which afaik is Wii port so you can't adjust the audio so the music is loud af all the time
I just went through the Wii version on Dolphin not long ago and it's probably one of the best I've seen, I'll have to check the audio thing.
Pretty sure the XB1 version is the re4hd port from pc - unless that in of itself was ported from the wii?
Whatever they've done you can't adjust the audio, so the "battle" music is always loud.
Yeah this game needs that music so you know when there's danger, but having it really loud drowns out other sounds and it's just horrible imo.
Seems like the steam and switch versions have the same issue:

I've played the original Wii version years ago and yeah I didn't have an issue with it then.
Think it's the porting that's the issue.
Got the XB1 physical version a while back, started playing it but after a while I just put it to one side. The audio is pretty distracting.
I have the volume on my tv set at a point where I can hear all the little stuff, but then the battle theme comes on and it's nearly ear rape :lol
Pity... it looks nice.
I honestly don't remember. Been awhile since I played the XB1 version. I do know I got 100% though.
so whats the difference between win 10 pro and home? also what should I know about 10 before switching to it?
I usually install enterprise.
Although maybe M$ calls it something different now idk
I did see enterprise but thought it was a M$ business OS.
seen this yesterday but didn't share itapparently the source code already leaked.Quote:

Well, do you like Bitlocker? If no, you probably only need Home:

Enterprise adds even more useless stuff. I guess it doesn't hurt if they're there, and free with a pirate. But it's all so useless:

Win10 homo edition
Looks like win10 is only supported for another 3 years. So if you have homo/pro you'll have to upgrade.
Enterprise will go beyond that because; business
HAPPY 20TH ANNIVERSARY COOKIEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!

Win10 drivers you can use win8 or whatever drivers, just look for the most recent official drivers (whatever OS).
I've used vista drivers to get hardware working on win10
I wouldn't be using win7 or anything old (including android) like that now though. Not regular people anyway...
Vulnerabilities.
I have 3x older dual core laptops here running win10, 2x HP and one Samsung.
All the hardware works.
As I said use old drivers, you may have to fiddle around with manual driver installs instead of relying on automatic detection etc.
If you wanna use old OS you can, but I wouldn't do anything important on it. No banking, online purchases or any government stuff.
Don't have anything setup to save passwords.
You just can't trust old OS.
Windows XP is too old these days to trust going online with, anything sensistive anyways.
Install DOS :nerd:
Install Free-DOS :P
