They should do a game called Old super mario bros and the twist is that its a completly new game that doesn't reuse all of the old stages and completly changes the style of the game. It'd be risky as hell, but would get a lot of attention :P

Probably. I just wonder how many more times they can rehash mario before it really gets dull. I've seen one of the later games and wasn't impressed. I doubt I would ever buy another nintendo console.

Is there a game that features him as the main character? The last Mario game I played (by last I mean latest) is Super Mario Sunshine. I've probably missed out on about 3 or 4 mario games since.

Hell, I think it's more of a how much can we "try" to innovate without straying from the classic formula.
