Yeah we always got along pretty good.
Why do I have the feeling the NeoGeo stick is slang for Gobby's imaginary dick?
No need, I have hardware. :-P
Awesome man, sounds like you've been having a real good weekend. I've been kind of tossing around the idea of having a yard sale. I have a ton of retro systems and games to get rid of.
Don't make me edit every single post you make in the hangout. :revwacko:
Anyway, thankfully my arcade stick is an american-style Happ and not a ball-top. :lol
Yeah as weekends go, I've had worse.
It's always tough to get good money at garage sales, so you may be better off listing on CL. I'm guessing you don't want to deal with ebay's crap and potential scammers. Can't hurt to send me a list, I think you mostly know the consoles I go for. I'm sure we could work out something that's fair for both of us if you have some stuff I need.
Yo BB, turn on KOF 96 and check the right side of the screen, tell me if there is anything odd about it please.
And he's not asking, he's demanding it. You better do it Beelze.
I have about 8 NES consoles, a Genesis V1, a few Odyssey 2 consoles(one with box), and some NES/O2/SFC games. I've been listing a little bit on eBay and haven't had any problems so far. Though I've just started selling on there so I can only list 5 listings in the Video Games section right now. So I was thinking of making a CL ad for the rest of my stuff. I really just want to flip all of this stuff so I can buy more import lots.
Ah yeah nothing I need.
That's crazy with ebay limiting you that hard. I forgot what it's like to start out, because my account is so old now.
Just a heads up on the console scammers. You may want to list consoles as broken and say they work in the listing description. The main scam is for them to claim something is wrong. The plan is to keep it at a discount assuming you won't want to have it shipped back and take the hit on shipping. Sometimes when you do make them return it they have clearly swapped it for a piece of crap but it's VERY difficult to prove and ebay loves siding with the buyer. After getting hit a couple times I started listing everything as broken while trying to mostly deal my consoles locally. You will probably lose some number of customers but I think the security of not allowing returns is worth it.
Yeah, but the funny thing is I haven't had to wait at all to get my payments. Like my roommate said would happen. Though I haven't been selling any high priced items.
I was thinking of selling my consoles on NA/SA, or Neo-Geo.com forums. At least the people there aren't out to scam me. I'll just sell the games on eBay though.
I think I figured it out, its on the stage when you are on a boat with the bridge in the background.
Yeah I honestly don't know their policies on holding money. I've heard from a lot of people that they had money held when they started out.
That could be a good way to go. The last few consoles I've sold that I didn't trade in (I know everyone is thinking LOL but the guy I'm taking them to gave me as much as I would get after fees on ebay or at least as much as the best offer I got locally and I don't have to meet weird people this way and I really dgaf if he's getting double or w/e from someone, storefronts make people get stupid and I don't pretend to understand it) were sold on forums. Not even trading specific forums for the most part either. A forum for an online game that no longer receives support but the community has just kind of hung around. So really it was like helping out old friends since it's been the same people for over 10 years now. Offer the consoles for a decent price and there is always a market for them even with smaller audiences like a game selling forum.
Agree about games, ebay/amazon are where you are going to get top dollar even after the fees. It's a very rare situation that someone local even wants to pay fair, fee deducted rates for games. Of course I can't blame most people because a lot of prices are bat shit crazy right now.
Are you talking about this stage?
Attachment 41456
Ya thats the stage but I dont think youl see the scrolling clipping since you are on a Tube TV :P
pretty hard to see since its really thin, only happens on KOF 96 which is odd.
Would I go to ebay right now, buy kof 96 JP for Saturn, pop it in my Saturn on an hdtv just to prove Gobby wrong? WOULD I?
Fuck buying it, just download it. :P
It's only like $10. Lol.
Actually I'd want to get it with the ram cart. Just because.
Easily the reason. Many processors in old consoles have storage registers for things such as sound properties, window size, x/y positioning and even resolution in some cases. Considering the fact that resolution ratios were at one time ALL 4:3, some companies would take these particular registers for granted and even ignore them in some case, allowing for the register to oscillate random data. Gargoyles for the Genesis actually exploited a register that was designed incorrectly and when the bug was removed in later revisions of the console, the game ceased to function.
I really wanna know how that one programmer got Neogeo on the DS almost perfectly, now if someone can make that open source and try to get Wifi enabled that would be TITS
Yeah I have a scanline generator. It has its purposes. Mainly for playing PS2 and Saturn on HDTV through the scaler with good cords. Need the scanlines to live, especially with certain ps2 games.
