I really don't care for any of King's books, I've watched a Storm of the Century, Rose Red, and I think the movie about the hotel room with a portal to hell was also from him. I watched them once but I have no drive to ever see them again. I guess I'm really not much of a horror fan. CERO delivers sensible ratings, comparing them to the ESRB is just... just... shameful :P.

Not really, they're just biased in a different way. While we rate sex highly, they rate violence highly. You can't show a drop of blood in japan without hitting a Z (M). Flash a little boob? No biggie. Here? Instant M unless you REALLY snuck it past the censors.
