People wanting emu rigs, frontends loaded with heaps of vids?
My RGH only has 1TB internal and that's enough for me atm, I only use an external to transfer games I wanna mess around with.
My 2 chipped original Xbox consoles have pretty small pata drives still (obviously bigger than retail)... I do have a sata adapter there but haven't bothered setting it up permanently just yet.
Back to what I was talking about earlier, re: promo discs no cover slips... thinking now I might just print out retail covers and use standard cases for what I'm missing, temporarily, and keep a look out for any relevant steelbooks I can use for these discs :)
I have Fallout 4 PS4 promo disc coming in, I already have PC type steelbook + music selections CD + perks sheet so I'll use that :D
I can scavenge the PS4 manual sheet for it from a standard retail copy I have here too.
RE7 Biohazard PS4 promo disc is coming in lot as well, it's in CD type slim case but appears to have a cover slip of some sort. Seller couldn't confirm if it was original or not though so I'll check that out when it arrives.
Some titles I'm not aware of any steelbook variants (maybe they do exist I just haven't seen them). Things like Vampyr PS4, Detroit Become Human etc. Other do exist but are htf so expensive.
I'll grab any steelbooks that come in at work just to build up a stash (I usually do anyway) because most games are priced the same there (except for some ninty and some other stuff that raises obvious flags about being valuable) plus I get 20% off (and more than that around Christmas).
Teaser list of stuff coming in:

Yeah I saw that
idk why some people seem convinced that if they bought a game at some point, they can just rip files and shit. "Yeah I totally own it" :revwacko:
I mean plenty of us actually do it, but you're delusional if you think it isn't piracy.
Don the eyepatch and care not :pirate:.
Don't forget the gleeful rubbing of hands :muhaha: arrrrrrr
Upgraded the drive in my NUC from 32GB to 256GB. I considered sticking the 32 in my laptop but I don't think it's worth bothering with.
finished a quest in tribunal last night holy shit that litch nearly killed me I have like 479hp maxed end and wearing a full set of adamantium armor and wraithguard. it's a good thing I didn't try to start this content earlier
Yeah without cheating (cheat mods or console commands) the game can be quite tough compared to Oblivion and Skyrim. Even on low difficulty setting there are some places that can test you depending on lvl, stats, gear etc.
I mean, hell, at the start of the game (after leaving census & excise) you can basically die immediately trying to fight a rat or scrib if you just go exploring :pwacko:
But it isn't as tough as the earlier games.
Doing a run in Civ 6 as Scotland. Kinda have a hankerin for watching Braveheart again now :P
Is that m2 drive?
Aye.
It's a SATA drive but m2 form. I replaced it with another m2 SATA since it was cheap and I don't need anything faster.
I have a 128GB samsung m2 sitting here. Nothing to use it in though :lol
I would have given you common roms for it .
I don't get what m.2 HDD/SDD is for. It looks like a RAM stick. I suppose its super faster or something? A normal looking SSD would be good enough for me.
Different form factor (SSD only). NVMe can be a lot faster but it doesn't matter for most purposes or users. An m2 SATA drive would be the same as a 2.5" SATA version aside from the form and connector.
DirectStorage will probably be used to push NVMe sales since it would be something the masses can make use of. I don't expect a lot to come out of it for games unless it gets automated integration with big engines (ie. Unreal or Unity) since most developers seem to be incompetent these days.
I have a sata ssd. Samsung 850 evo 250gb as my Windows drive. To be honest I don't know if it's really all that faster than a mechanical drive on the same sata 3 port on the mobo :dunno:
The only sata SSD I have is 2.5" Corsair 240GB (sata 3). I have that setup to use with my PSTV.
Could use it in one of my laptops but I prefer to keep using 1TB platters in those... more space.
Sounds pretty much like mine.
I just drilled it straight into a 3.5" bay :lol
It should be considerably faster but whether or not it's noticeable for most uses, hard to say . It's nice to have for startup/shutdown times but once you boot into the OS a good HDD is still fine enough for most things. I think most people only notice a difference if they're swapping from a piece of garbage 2.5" HDD. You could probably swap in a good HDD and most wouldn't be able to tell unless they heard it spinning up.
A slightly slower boot time doesn't bother me. I don't play games on these laptops.
I couldn't live with less than 500GB internal HDD now :lol Would need to have an external attached to it all the time to deal with torrents, PS4 fpkg etc.
The space 1TB internal gives me is more important, I still need to move downloads off my main every couple of days as it is :pwacko:
Second laptop has 1TB too but I don't use it as much. It's for setting up external HDD, USB and cards for consoles.
You couldn't put normal sata in there? For more space.
I have the smaller case version which doesn't have space for it (non-standard power connector on the board as well). I've got a parts listing of one of the larger case versions watched on eBay but I'm not interested unless the price drops.
