Depends on the scripture he posts. There's plenty of non-objectionable passages in the gospels that might push people towards a better life. Not necessarily as a worshipping Christian, but as a decent person.
On the other hand, if he starts posting excerpts from Leviticus or Judges...
You act like Christianity won't do that by itself.

just my honest opinion... but i dont trust anything which doesnt have a brain... including a book, and in all respect, the bible is just a book written by people ages ago... in the future people may worship harry potter... who knows? just my opinion folks...
Jimmy1829 Take a look at Scientology if you want to know my feelings on religion. The founder was a science fiction writer and after 2000 years a work of fiction could easily have been woven into what is now thought of as a legitimate religion
The last words of Jesus are quite interesting as well...as there are THREE versions. That's just a tad too bizarre for me to ever have faith in a book that is so inconsistent on the death of its savior.
Matthew 27:46,50: "And about the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying, "Eli, eli, lama sabachthani?" that is to say, "My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?" ...Jesus, when he cried again with a loud voice, yielded up the ghost."
Luke 23:46: "And when Jesus had cried with a loud voice, he said, "Father, unto thy hands I commend my spirit:" and having said thus, he gave up the ghost."
John 19:30: "When Jesus therefore had received the vinegar, he said, "It is finished:" and he bowed his head, and gave up the ghost."
I can't put in context as I can't find my copy of the bible, but I'll go off of memory for the Matthew versus: Jesus is lead up to the place of execution, calls out to the crowd for help, one member of the crowd goes and fetches sour wine to ease his pain, the crowd holds him back and tells him to wait and see if God saves him, then he says the verse I posted.
I personally think Matthews account is the closest one to what actually happened mainly because he behaved like most humans would in his situation.
strongbad and i went to church camp together. EXPOSED.
Depends. Some Christians (the hardline groups in particular) like to claim complete inerrancy of the bible. Clearly, if we've got 3 different versions of the guy's last words, at best 2 of those 3 versions are not correct. Which is a problem for any book that is supposed to be inerrant.
Christians that believe in inerrancy don't have the same problem, but it doesn't exactly inspire confidence if a religions self-proclaimed 'divinely inspired' holy book can't keep its accounts straight.
