The links you were saying don't work all have epforums.org in them. All the others just have the IP.

Cookies and other stuff work via domain, which is epforums.org. The domain is registered with the main site, so if the main site is down, the domain epforums.org goes down too.

Basically, no domain = weird stuff happens.
