that's the feeling I'm getting.

You might inquire if they're the shipping carrier since it's a prepaid label.
My local public library has a photo copier sitting there. There's a USB port on it as is common on like all printers for the last decade, slap in a thumbdrive with your desired print saved as a pdf and hit print. Seriously just save your label as a pdf and look around, I guarantee you can find somewhere to print it.
Are you sure the po doesn't have printing? You might have to ask if they don't have any notices up about it.
yep pretty sure they really don't offer shit.
I'm just going to accept my loss on this one. I will invest in a printer newegg is advertising a sale around the 5th and amazon has prime day on the 12th-15th so I'll see if I can get a printer for $30 or less and avoid this situation in the future.
I've never heard of the USPS offering printing, but I have a friend that has worked with them for many years. I will ask him next time I am talking to him.
I don't remember if I brought this up yet or not DL, but I was playing quite a bit of pc engine the last couple days and got to thinking about it. The 3 button controller is actually the best controller by far. The 6 button controller works with maybe 20 games and when it can't function as a 6 button controller has to be switched to 2 button mode or games won't work iirc. The 3 button controller actually offers completely different functionality. What it does is you map the third button to select or run with a switch on the controller. This is incredibly handy as many games use the select or run button in interesting ways to bypass the fact that the pce controller only had 2 buttons.
Those printers are juuuunnnk. It will run out of ink in like a hundred sheets (less with labels that eat ink), and then you'll have to spend $50 on ink. And you can't just not print, after 5 years or something the ink cartridge will dry up its own. Also they just fail for no reason at all.
If you print really infrequently, like just return labels, you should find someplace to print. It costs like $0.25 a sheet, I'm sure there's *somewhere*. If you print a little more it's kinda worth it to spend $50 on ink, it's not a significant savings, but convenience is worthwhile.
One of my best junk finds was a working laser printer. Cord was damaged so it can only be used in network mode but it's been an absolute trooper. Not having to worry about ink and random shit breaking has been a joy.
Check here and other sites for models/ink cartridges you can find knock-off replacements for:

Stinks on the keyboard. Chinese sellers shipping within the US tend to be located in Cali/Florida/NY. I avoid them like the plague most of the time.
well on the plus side it does work and so does the mic it came with not worth the money I paid for it though.
cali I've noticed most and also NJ, WA.
something else I've noticed today is a lot of them are given top rated plus status when they've barely been members for a year.
Top rated is like JD Power awards, completely worthless .
Pretty much. I refused to meet the requirements eBay demanded for it but if you are a mega seller it makes sense to do because people will see it and think it means something.
took a look at that site shard posted and entered the info for the printer I was looking at. ink is $28.99 for a 2 pack(1 color 1 black) that's only $2 cheaper than what I seen for name brand ink that is a little more costly than I expected.
I also took a look to see what laser printers were running. the cheapest I found was a lexar for $299.99 yeah that's way beyond my price range.
Must depend a lot on what ink. The last order I did was $19.99 for two full sets. That was for Canon compatible ink.
Looks like it is still the same price
"Compatible Ink Cartridge Replacement for Canon 250, 251 XL (10 pack), Smart Ink"
If you already have a specific printer, there are other sites you could see if they are less. I mostly remember smart ink being the cheapest of the options for what I was looking at but it could vary.
I believe the ink cartridges are the print head for printers like the one you mention, Grouch. Given the prices of the printer and the ink it's like they're designed to be tossed after the ink is gone >_<.
Buying a laser printer off CL/Facebook is probably your best bet like with most big heavy stuff. If they're close enough you can probably convince them to come to you. I've seen them pop up for $50 and less from time to time. Thrift stores would also work as long as the people pricing items aren't delusional.
that seems likely. that does put me in a bit of a bind. I usually don't have to print much and I don't usually have to return items I've bought online I also don't do any selling anymore. I do have some things I would like to try and sell on ebay but paying full price for shipping screws me so a printer would be awesome to have at those times.
I recently checked in on one I hadn't been to in years and immediately recalled why. They had prices as high as retail for picture frames. The last good one here went under after they tried to open an overpriced location on a pricey property. The woman pricing things (based on eBay :lol) would usually price electronics too high but they would steadily lower to acceptable prices. The funniest was when I paid less for something after I had offered more and they refused.
All that's left now are Goodwill, a so-so one (depending on what you're looking for), and the awful one I mentioned above.
Goodwill also sells a bunch of stuff online :low:.
I've almost never seen anything good at the local GWs since they started doing that.
Printers sold by thrift etc can be hit and miss. In my experience they are rarely tested beyond a safety test and powering on, although NiB can be found sometimes.
Laser printers aren't as common.
A lot of printers are simply thrown away where I work, we try to minimise the possibility of electrical returns due to "not fit for purpose".
I personally haven't bought a new printer in years, my current all-in-one is just an old epson workforce 545, I buy generic ink cartridges locally for it. It was given to me years ago when someone I know upgraded to something more quiet... yep there was nothing actually wrong with it and is still works ok, although I never use the wireless network function and can't remember the last time I used the card/usb input slots.
You pretty much need to know someone that works there and get them to keep an eye out for stuff you want. Staff discount lowers the price plus some store managers will give staff a good deal to start with anyway.
So yeah it's the best way to get something reasonably priced.
Super Mario RPG is getting a remake! I'm also curious about the Mario Wonder game.
DL, would you please check Vandal Hearts English patched on Saturn and see if you can pass the second mission?
Dunno if I'll have time this weekend, I'm organising sd card for my pce right now and I'll be testing a bunch of games tonight.
In about an hour or so I have to cut down a chestnut tree in Dad's yard near the house then cut/chop more wood.
Tomorrow (Sunday) I've got more stuff to do.
Work next week will be busy as it's school holidays.
Next weekend only have Sunday off and will probably need to be organising more wood.
So yeah idk if I'll have time to look at this for at least 2 weeks or more
Is it CD burn you wanna check? My chipped console is packed away right now I only have the fenrir console hooked up to the crt.
I suppose I might try making another coaster then.
Too much stuff to do and not much free time. If I'm here and posting I'm just chillin 'cos I need a break now and then :pwacko:
