The hardware is better than NESC and SNESC. Pi 3b+ has better hardware but lesser Pi's aren't superior.
It has potential just needs modders to make better use of the hardware provided, which is already happening.
Virtually all of the hate is based on what came shipped with it which is completely understandable. It is cheaper than the ninty offerings though.
If it hits like $10-20 then it gets really interesting imo. I never had any real interest in NESC/SNESC.
