I know people working much harder jobs than you work who are in worse situations than you are even close to. A job isn't a luxury, it's something every grown person needs. Delaying it over childish excuses isn't a valid reason to not have it.

After the failure of my internal PS2 headphone driver, I decided to connect the audio terminals directly to the headphone connector. This of course removed volume control, but it turns out the output is loud enough for it to be unnecessary. The signal is surprisingly bassy but sounded a little fragmented at times of heavy action, or when it was loudest. I suspected that it may be because the outputs had a DC offset which would need to be coupled to ring the offset down to zero. After a few moments of measuring, the signals appear to have no offset so I do not need a series capacitor. The fragmenting is probably because the audio is too loud actually so the plan is to wire up that pot I have mounted in the front. All in all, it was a successful mod though it did not go quite as planned.
