I... haven't once had install issues with new games. Possibly I'm just lucky, but seriously, every game I own, with the exception of the one I hate anyway, hasn't had to install anything, including patches.

Also, I prefer (note that I said PREFER, not made a statement of fact) the PS3 controller over the XBox 360. Not sure why.

Can't comment on the online though, never played it, and most game's I've got are fine for loading. Possibly you're just doing it wrong. :P
