Story....... Meh, the only ones with a decent story are Guilty Gear and BlazBlue. Mortal Kombat is such a cluster fuck I don't even know.
Gameplay, more variety than FPSes, because each character is completely different (most of the time), while FPS guns are usually just slight variations of the same guns.
Also, GET UNREAL TOURNAMENT GOTY DO IT DO IT DO IT.
