With all the RE remakes I'd love to see RE Outbreak remade.
You may want to have a floor fan blowing on the PS3 when you use it. I don't know if Sony fixed the cooling issues of the first gen. PS3s when they released the non-BC fats (which is what I'm sending).
I'd hope so since it's lasted this long but .
I didn't think about it till today but does the blue-ray and bluetooth still work?
gonna see about talking to the guy my tv came from (he's a relative) see if he can find the leg stands for it and/or at least the ac adapter. I'd like to not have to buy a universal stand mount for it.
It's functional; I didn't test the ethernet or the analog output but seems unlikely they're busted when the rest works. No PSN since I installed Rebug, aside from PSN I think all the PS3 game servers are dead. You have a controller, right? I forgot to ask but I'm pretty sure you do .
If you have the tools and correct screws for the mounting point you could build something with wood scraps.
You don't need network for anything, copy games from ext USB. Standard Rebug install would've had issues (iirc) if BD or BT boards were faulty.
BD laser is a different thing, but honestly you don't need it at this point unless you're dumping discs.
If you wanna play BD video discs then any random cheap BD player will do, at work we sell working units with remote for like $20aud max usually... unless it's something really special.
eg just the other day: Samsung BD/PVR with 250GB HDD, 3D BD capable with remote, HDMI and component outputs $20aud
Above unit is PVR but doesn't have any extra inputs like scart or whatever.
If it was a similar thing but like Panny then maybe a bit more $ but not much.
BD recorder with input options then yeah it's going to be more for sure.
Stand/legs for the tv: just modify and use something from a scrap tv.
Even just a wall mount and then weld up a metal stand from scrap :lol

4.82 is installed and you could easily update to 4.86. I wouldn't bother changing to another CFW, doing the PSN spoofing stuff, or mucking with the pad plugin myself. I would suggest installing the toolbox, toggling QA, dumping stuff, and most of the others.
doesn't that require soldering?
I don't have any of that kind of stuff laying around we have an arch welder(or maybe two) but I don't know if they work we also have a torch welder but it doesn't have any fuel(whatever it was called)
I was just thinking about looking that stuff up that just saved me a little time.
Yes stick drift fix requires soldering.
I've had an arc welder for years  They're so cheap there's no reason not to have one imo. Same story for a chainsaw, 4x4 and at least one trailer (no, not a caravan).
Without those basic things you're relying on other people you know... or worse; have to pay people to do stuff.
Mig; my brother in law has one.
Probably not a bad idea to pick one up. I haven't welded anything in a long time though.
One of my trailers is pretty old, I mean nearly as old as me :lol Has a cage on it and every now and then I have to fix up the mesh on it, welds get broken from throwing wood in it all the time.
I don't use the arc constantly but it does get used fairly regularly I guess.
Yeah using some electronics contact spray is the first thing you try. Or if you only have IPA then dump some in there and try to sort it out.
Sometimes it's simple wear though and pulling the stick apart to fix it might sound like a good idea but putting them back together right is a pain... which is why you can buy replacement sticks.
The replacements generally aren't top quality though, so the fix board is the cheaper way to get a genuine stick working properly again.
There's a trailer sitting in our yard which I should probably get cleared out and see if it can be salvaged before the ground eats it .
That was why I never bothered getting a replacement for one of my PSPs. It could be made tolerable with a plugin and I lived with it until I got others. Same with a Sixaxis with the first PS3. Total replacement almost always ends up being cheaper than 'parts' controllers or whatever because people are nuts here .
I must away to the garage :wav:.
An ok soldering iron isn't really expensive. I mean you can buy Chinese hakko t12 clones and they're fine (I have one).
I'm not an expert at soldering now, I was much better when I was younger. So now if I have a project I spend a little time practising on scrap electronics before I tackle a serious job.
I have a Hakko station that sits in its box most of the time.
:bore: starting to get burned out on lego starwars. I also have to dust but I just don't feel like it(though I have been putting it off)
Hakko. Sounds like an Animaniac!!!!
:yakko:
the only ones I didn't like of the newer lego games(that I've played) were lego batman 1(didn't play 2) and indiana jones 2 and harry poter(still liked that one better than bat man 1) and as far as the old ones go lego racers 2 was okay but that's about it.
On the computer: I'd look for a case locally, almost any ATX case will do fine. You'd want to wait for rebates if ordering online.
Re-upped NHL 94/95 for the PC (MS-DOS). I wish Nintendo would have implemented some type of achievement system for the Switch, I'd probably use it more. At least there's Retro Achievements.
Of course right now Big N is on a lot of people's shit-list because of the steam & dolphin thing.
Shit list or no, Switch is still the best selling console. As long as there are little brats convincing their parents to spend on over priced pokemon games and switch consoles they'll continue to be so.
WonderWitch kit on ebay for $1200aud
Won't be long until I join the PC Engine masterrace :pwacko:
there is no such thing as free. a free item will always cost you something this is a lesson I have once again had to learn.
