I figure I am one of the younger ones here because it was the N64 for me. Legend of Zelda Oot and MM both scared and intrigued me with adventure and exploration, but I think Super Smash Bros is what got me into my play every genre mentality.
Pokémon was the only thing to pass the time with when 8 or 9 years old and waiting for your event at swim meets all summer. We had a little tent with a massive trading and battling operation every tuesday and thursday.

Remember being bored as all get out when my grandmother was babysitting me one day. Started digging through her things and found an atari console with a few games. Quickly become the only thing I did over there that wasn't boring.
maniac mansion on 386 pc got me into gaming

My dad got the family an NES and i watched him play through Legend of Zelda and Megaman for hours.
My parents got me an Atari when I was barely old enough to even understand pooping.
I just sat around, pooped, and watched my dad play videogames. Eventually I started to try and play too, and it just went from there.
I started to play the moment I actually learned how to use the controller for the snes
My dad bought our NES when I was young; I used to get a new game if I got all A's in school.
I guess I always had friends who gamed.
Getting a C64 for educational purposes and then discovering that it was far better for gaming :-)

I woke up Xmas morning with a new Sega and the first Sonic game. Played the heck out of that and been addicted ever since.

I started out on the Sega Pico! Then I picked up Super Mario World and never looked back.

My very first game and game console were a Sega Mega Drive and Mortal Kombat as i was 5-6 years old
My old friend from school got me into gaming. It was fun.
My first console was a PSX, and all I played for years was Gran Turismo and Hot Wheels: Turbo Racing. I'm a car guy, so there is a theme to my gaming.

My parents were classic console gamers, and it influenced me :D
My dad honestly, haha. He used to play the PlayStation when I was younger, and the first game I ever had the chance to play was the original Tomb Raider. We also owned a really low-end PC, whose brand I forget, and I would play some games on that fairly often.

hi I am a new member but I been using emuparadise for years, I got into gaming at a very young age with a commodore 64 :) I can't remember the first game I played but as soon as I started I just couldn't stop :) then I got my Amiga and OMG playing Robocop and Batman the movie was such an awesome experience, you could actually feel the difference in power, the music was awesome, the graphics were amazing so yeah just the whole escape from reality I guess is what got me into gaming :)

Nes and Game Boy is where I started. Ah them good ol days playing in the back of the car at night with nothing but the streetlamps to let me actually see the screen...
Speedrunning, love it
Started gaming with a zx spectrum then a spectrum plus 2 and moved through all the consoles. HAd playstation till ps2 them moved top xbox.
I think it was my uncle. He played video games and let me try mario one day. Or was it that I saw him play Tekken? I don't remember.
