Anyone tired of Pokemon?

I tried HeartGold yesterday, because I wnated to see if a remake of my favorite generation could get me back into the series.

I was disappointed, especially in the gimmick that came from Yellow and should have died with it.

To tell you the truth, I felt the same way about Yellow. It was just a gimmick that had nothing over Blue or Red. Only half-decent thing was the Pikachu surf minigame, but then again... it was part of the gimmick.

Well i like how you could get all three starting Pokemon in the game =P and i like how Pikachu followed you. That's about it xP

But Pokemon Yellow came with my lovely Pokemon themed Gameboy Color. ^^;;;

About the only thing I liked about Pokemon Yellow was that you could get the three starters in the same file, without having do some gawdawful trading that took forever. Beyond that, the game didn't really add anything. The new Pokemon designs were terrible at best, and just plain strange at worst, and their attempt to inject colour into the game kind of... failed. It just didn't feel right.

Forgot about the three starters, you're right. But then again, that and Pikachu following are also part of the gimmick. It seemed like a good idea at the time with the first series going on, but it all comes down to the same thing, Blue and Red still were better.

I guess just to prove that they can put multiple colors in their Pokemon games. :wacko:

I hardly consider that putting multiple colors. Just a single color taking over every town. :wacko:

They put some colours into the actual Pokemon. Mostly the wild ones/ones you were battling, more than the one you were using.
