I've been on XP for 2 years. Didn't bother formatting.
Frankly, it's a beast. RAWR. No slowdowns whatsover, 2GB seems to be decent with XP.
And now that i'm moving to Vista soon, i'm changing CPU, board and putting 4GB of ram. Go figure. :P
I'm with Raype on this one. XP has always run smooth for me. And Im still running on my original 768MB of ram. My mom has Vista and 4GB of ram. And its actually a tad slower than my XP with 768.
