It's supposed to be a proto of the SNES and PSX before it was a CD add-on, and obviously before the project was abandoned.
There's a thread about it at Assembler, and it seems it's genuine.

hi
:cheer:
An "obscure backup tool" that costs the same as some external drives you can buy, and I don't mean the most expensive ones available.
You only think these things are obscure because you go around with blinkers on. Maybe it's because you're dirt poor too, which is perfectly fine but saying things you can't afford are crap is just stupid.
how can I change my signature?
With that statement it just seems you are looking for excuses honestly, I'm not some spring chicken you know and have been around the block just as long as you have.
For the price of a decent HDD over a obscure unofficial backup tool you get way more bang for your buck with less hassle and clutter of fucking consoles , cartridges and wires so there is less chance of breaking your damn neck.
Blowing money on overpriced retro shit is stupid and a perfectly fine waste of hard earned cash when a PC/PC accessories/Emu Boxes/Storage Space is much smarter and cost efficient option .
I also find console elitism here pretty hilarious since this is in fact you know a "Emulation" forum.
