PC parts, with only some odd exceptions eg voodoo cards, usually become near worthless. Yes really old PCs can be worth something but it's unusual types for the most part, Amigas and other old systems like that can be worth something.
Ok fine you can spend money on current PC gear and then sell on after a little while but it's a constant battle with variables, it's easier to be upgrading cars than PC gear.
Too much effort for little or no gain. Most people would be losing money constantly.

I've spent less than 200 bucks on my comp almost half of which was for storage and am up to about 50 PS3/360 ports. Maybe even a couple that have come out on the PS4/Bone. Almost all of which running much higher than either last gen system can handle. Also never spent a dime on games :P
Only a few games I haven't been able to run so far. Point is I'm saying that in my case I believe I have more than got my monies worth PC gaming.
Anyhow back to FFX for the 10th bloody playthrough - it really almost feels like a new game (just keep telling myself that :whistle: ) Have fun arguing boys :P

Ofc, you should just game how you want to, I feel like we've reached a point where it's almost entire a matter of preference save for odd exclusives and what have you.
For me investing in a PC served a dual purpose as I needed a machine that could run some really bizarre computations for work and not shit the bed if I was watching a youtube video, so it just made sense to beef it up a little into a gaming PC.

Ahhh yes, that is the only console FPS i've ever enjoyed and perfect dark by extension. Incidently, I bought duke nuke forever a couple of years back for like 2 pound so im finally trying it. I won't lie it isn't amazing but it isn't to bad either, colonial marine and borderlands are far worse :/ Only thing I dislike is the fact you can tell gearwank cut major sections of the game out.Quote:
