I've done some checking on the cheap JPN bare unit I spotted.
Going by the model number and serial, I'm pretty sure it'd be fine with selfboots (but I guess I could be wrong).
Do you know if any controllers/vmu's would work fine with a Japanese unit? I would've thought it wouldn't matter (like psx) :shrug:
Getting an a/v lead isn't a prob, and the power converter I've already got should be fine.

Yeah mate controllers, VMUs, Rumble packs etc all work on any console. You'll need some kind of boot swap to play real copies of non-JP games of course. I assume you'll just be burning everything anyway tho. xD

Hey Sheras, got a PS2 but the disc drive is busted. It works though so you could use a network adapter and play games from a HDD. You could have it for free, up to you.

Oh btw, the prices were right on at this sale. Every video game is $1. :]

The woman couldn't quite get everything ready for this sale but said she had loads more. I gave her my number and told her to call me and that I'd buy everything and she said I would have first crack at it.

I just destroyed an assortment on hard drives today. Ranging from 10GB (from original Xboxes) to 30-40GB drives. No use for them.

i missed out on an N64 with EVERYTHING once
4 first party controllers with aftermarket gamecube style sticks, Starfox 64, gold OoT and MM, and the grey versions of both (there were like 4 copies of OoT), expansion pak, Goldeneye, Perfect Dark, 4 controller paks, 4 gameboy transfer paks, Poke'Mon Staduim 1&2, the RBY GSC gameboy Poke'Mon games, four rumble paks, and probably a host of other stuff i don't remember.

went for $150

more than worth it for all that.

now i'm looking at Dreamcasts under $100
