So tired of damn ad.fly crap. Does anyone know a way around it? It can detect adblock.

Is LimitedRun Games worth it, or no?
If you're asking then I would say probably not.
From what I know the releases are numbered. People collect that stuff so stock vanishes quickly. Then you have people reselling at inflated prices.
These aren't traditional "rare" or "hard to find" games, the business model is designed that way.
Also, afaik the games are just limited run physical versions of digital games.
Maybe there are some exceptions to that, idk, maybe somebody else has details.
It's also PS4/Vita/Switch titles... none of which truly interest me, unless of course we're talking true exclusives.
Can you still get it though? Pre-orders started like 2 weeks ago going by what I'm reading atm
The Switch digital version is only around 1GB apparently, so even though this is remastered it isn't a huge game. Probably cheaper to get digital, I'd be surprised if the cheapest base physical version came with anything at all...
As somebody that prettymuch only buys physical, I'd say yes.
Basically yeah, that's their thing. That hit up digital game developers and offer to toss out a physical version that wouldn't have otherwise gotten a release because the developers are too small. There are some minor exceptions, as some bigger developers have tossed them titles, I kinda dislike their "distributed games". Also they've taken to "reprinting" some obsolete games like SegaCD games and lame NES repro's.
Orders are open till the end of February
It's usually a bad idea to count on Bestbuy coming through. Usually the preorder window will close up before they can confirm if Bestbuy is indeed picking the title up. What you should do is set a reminder on your phone, telling you to pick it up on the 27th. Then check the product page on LRG, if they say right there in the product details that Bestbuy has ordered the game, then you can wait for Bestbuy. If Bestbuy hasn't locked it down, just get it from LRG. Also do not wait till the end of the day on the 28th, mid-morning on that last day they'll cap the order number to an even thousand, and let it sellout at some random time.
Scott Pilgrim here will be worth money. Every single major game released by LRG has exploded in price. If it's a game you actually want, just preordering it is the best way to buy it. Worst case, if you have serious purchase regret, you can flip the game on Craigslist at cost.
Well, yes in the case of someone that wants to buy the physical game and then probably resell. That's if you can actually get it retail price for starters though.
In lefty's case I was assuming buying physical was more about avoiding digital at all costs due to slow internet and the pains of downloading anything. Also, assuming the digital version is cheaper than the base physical game. It isn't a huge download though. Even with my old slow 1.5gbps net I would've opted for digital in this case if it was cheaper. But yeah, if getting physical doesn't require any extraordinary effort and cost is very close to the same then go for it.
All of these Limited releases are stupidly expensive here. Well, the ones I've seen available to buy anyway. They aren't games you can easily preorder cheaply at EB and I'm not even sure what other stores would supply them here. Importing things like this from the US would be risky, much like importing a unique item that would be difficult to replace even if insurance covered cost.
I don't think Lefty cares about download sizes? I mean I'm sure I've seen him mention current-gen Steam pickups which I doubt were small. Scott Pilgrim is a game a ton of people like, and it's been delisted for years before, because reasons. So physical for the sake of physical makes sense.
And yeah, importing LRG releases is hell. For international shipping directly from them you're looking at $15USD, to start. Unless I can pickup 3-4 games minimum from them I don't even bother ordering. I was picking up all the trash Kemco RPGs from LRG when they were doing package consolidation. Once they stopped doing that, I stopped catching those. I can't bring myself to shell out $40-45USD for a game that'll pop up on Steam from $5, I don't care if it's immediately eBaying for $100, I'm not buying for flip values...
Well I do like physical. Also, yes sometimes, well a lot of the time I prefer physical as its something that is tangible. I mean yeah I can get Scott Pilgrim digitally, but eh. Also, my download speed is crap. It took me 7 days to download GTA V on steam. However Scott Pilgrim is a smaller game, so the download time wouldn't be as bad, but still.
Looks like GTA 6 may be coming out sometime in 2022.
Hi Grouch!
I've seen Grouch online now and then for ages but he never posts :(
Yeah I see him pop on quite often. I've even mentioned that before as well. Maybe he hates us now? :(
Don't entirely know. Looks like it'll have a single player type campaign but I don't know what kind of online aspects will be involved. Looks to be just one character you control and it'll be female apparently so it would be pretty weird if it was always online say something like like Fallout 76 with dozens of the same character running around the game world :P
Is the character female or trans?
I'm getting sick of the overcompensating for lack of diversity in the past.
Actually I still wonder what happened to Drageuth? He was posting normally and then just poof. And that was like five years ago. Even his PSN profile hasn't shown any new activity for a couple years unless he made a new one. Looks like his last activity was last November though but never posted anything (unless he said hi in the mod lounge)
I haven't noticed anything but I'm not going to dig. It's possible someone might have an idea though, like Milady or Cookie  idk
Inferno kinda vanished too, but I'm guessing that's because he was working all the time and hooked up with a chick that had a kid already. Instant family and responsibilities.
But I suppose people could still be popping in to read posts and they're just set to invisible.
