Yeah, but overall I don't mind it. Steam only takes a few seconds to start up, so it's not a big deal to me.
They had both a PSP 3000 and a Go in my local store, I went with the 3000 purely because it had a bigger screen. And I wasn't entirely sold on the Go's design.
i hate the ideas of stuff that is locked down. modders and others will jailbreak them anyways
Ten of my little brother's friends drinking in the living room. Had to escape to my own room. Too loooooud. ^^;;;
I don't quite get why people hate Steam so much, but to each their own. I've been in this discussion so many times in the past. I like that having a Friends list makes it easy to join co-op games and that Steam automatically patches all your games to the latest versions. It's just a neat interface in general.
Ten loud Sctosmen drinking, this will not end well.
OnLive ain't closing, the rumors are just that.
I explained Tentacle Grape to my father the other day. He was amused.
Generally, you can find a full game script to use for playing the game. Keep it open in another window or print it out. There'll be enough visual cues in most cases that you can match the window to its corresponding translation. It's arguably better, since the game script will be closer to the literal meaning rather than the Woolseyisms you generally get in localized games. i.e. "I'm going to knock you all down." vs. "Prepare to enter a world of hurt!" The former is what it says, the latter is what they'd make it say in the US version just to make more sense. Unless you're 1988 Squaresoft.
Yes and no. Steam is just shortcuts, but if you run the .exe without the Steam client running, the game will pop up saying AMG NO PERMISSIONS. Of course, if Valve were to go bankrupt, they'd probably be legally obligated to somehow allow users to get copies of all their games that don't require the Steam client to be run, at least for a few months.

Hi Colamisu!
Caligula.
Undead Core
why does iTunes make me type in my pass word every time even if i'm just getting free stuff?
About the onlive thing, I'm so not surprised, considering how much shit they give away.
I'd be lying if I said I didn't like shiny boxes, but lately I've just stopped caring as long as I get to play my game.
Also, it's just a great way to sell shit that otherwise might be difficult to sell. Cola tells me that the Ys games were quite a success when they went digital on Steam, while in the physical realm many games either go out of print or become rarities. A digital release can preserve all these classics, and having an "XY GAME 50% off" on the front page also raises general awareness of the game in question IMO.
But here I'm just repeating the same thing I told some dude on GameFAQs who said he would rather die than have a non-PSP, Steam release of Kiseki titles, even though said console is at the end of its life cycle...
Okay, I need to stop writing long posts, Milady will get angry at me again.
Wind Fortress + Waterway = Weirdness
Sad Add + Squirrel + Spook = Three of my Worst Enemies that are Felines
Boredom + Computer = Random sprites and stuff
:bamf:
Huh, apparently the company is getting shut down, but the Service is still staying?
Confused.
http://www.onlive.com/game-system
where can i get these "free" games from them?
:bamf:
It turns out I'll have to leave soon.
So see ya guys tomorrow!
G'night, whatever.
Also, if anyone has to get angry at someone, get angry at me.
In fact, blame everything on me, I don't really care :)
