I've thought about getting a new computer sometime in the near future, but there's nothing really wrong with this one, and it does what I want it to do. I guess if I wanted to set new framerate records for the newest game, it'd be different...

Like you say, lappies are nice even a 2010 Dell, but I rather have a computer that has a strong quad core.

He was more stubborn than mad, he said that i would want a current laptop, not an old one to take to my classes, and when my bro said that he rarely ever took his lappy with him to classes, my dad got on the argument of having the desktop sit in my dorm room. I guess the main thing I don't like about laptops is the touchpad. I know I can use a mouse, but then I have to be at a desk, and then what's the point of a laptop :P
