And a fan, which means your processor is less likely to burst into flames if you keep your computer on for several days.

Don't let the added .2 ghz of the P4 fool you. It's really not as important as you'd think.

I know that .2ghz makes little difference. I'm more concerned about the PD having 2x more L2 Cache than the P4.

Would this PC do okay?
Pentium D (2x2mb l2 cache, 2.8ghz, cual core)
768mb ddr2 ram
256mb AGP8x XFX 6200A

Will it do shit such as; Project 64 - Games at full speed? SSF - Games play at a good speed? ,- Chankast - Be able to play something like Soul Calibur at full speed? nullDC - same as chanka, be able to play PC games like: Half-Life 2? The Sims 2? DMC3? Onimusha 3?

The video card is too sucky, if you want my advice. Even a 7300GT is not very strong, ultimately a 7600GS would be a very good choice.

Yeah well. My price range is pretty sucky.

Should work fine.

Well maybe not totally with the emulators, as some will lag a bit regardless or what you're running. Especially SSF and a couple games in PJ64.

Other than that you should be fine.

My laptop doesn't show too much promise of late, in fact my poor hd capacity has been crippling me lately, I intend to get a more sufficient computer this summer, I'm going to save up the sum of £500 of this purpose, I will make a thread about it when I have amased the needed amount, but out of curiousity what am I looking at for £500?
