There is not a completely denial of the remake, actually. I was reading a screenshot of some kid's email response from Squeenix and it said that a remake is a remote possibility due to fans uproar over the vid. BUT, and there is a huge but, there was a tech demo for the PS2 that I'm sure no one remembers. It was a scene from Final Fantasy VIII rendered in realtime. Now, I'm not too sure that there wasn't a big shit made about that so they scrapped the idea entirely, but it wasn't that nice to begin with. Maybe Squeenix just likes fucking with me especially.

I'd look foward to playing Goldeneye and Perfect Dark properly on the Revolution, however those are two games I KNOW won't be available. Jet Force Gemini would be good too, but it ain't gonna happen.

ps3(1st) revolution(2nd) and whats that other machine called never cared to much to call its by its name so i just call it the junk box(3rd) but yeah that will be the order i will get the systems ps3 first because im looking forward to it then revolution then if ANY games intrest me i might consider buying a Junk box.

It's their plan for the Xbox 3. It makes sense to add a shape to each generation, but what would they call it then... How about X-Box 360 Delta :P

It's just that going by what they're saying at this particular point in time, that video is not representative of a work-in-progress project. Though their stong insistance that it's nothing more then a tech demo makes me wonder what they're up to. Methinks they doth protest too much....

I'm not committed either way to the Revolution at this point, chiefly due to the fact that I know nothing about what to expect from it, beyond that we'll be able to download classic Nintendo games on the thing. I do think that at this point, it's premature to make the lofty claim that the Revolution will blow away the competition. ;)

Just expanding upon you Cyber.

Well the Revolution Could blow away the competition... then again... it might just be a big flop...

Of course the same thing can be said about the other two systems as well...

The PS3 might just be too expensive for casual gamers... and the Xbox 360 might just not have the support, at launch.

It's a good idea to not make decisions a half a year in advance, based on tech demos...

Saying which console will be the best of the Three, at this point, and at any point really is just silly.

Well, the XBOX360 does have bigger support than the original XBOX did at launch. It even has a few important japanese developers backing it up, so it has a pretty good chance.

Well, Nintendo still holds the trademark for those games, but the properties themselves... Hmm... Yeah, I think Nintendo can't make use of them without consent of the current copyright holders...

Well Why the Heck would any company bulk at the chance to make money off a game that they made years ago?

Like I said, and Dave suggested, if Nintendo wanted to charge you for Goldeneye, they would most likely have to pay EA (or whoever holds the license) for cashing from the Bond franchise. The game, designs, etc. belong to them, but not the license, so they can't use it freely... Same goes for Perfect Dark: they own the game, but Rare/Microsoft holds the rights to the franchise...
