So I go on my Fi U and wanted to play Bayonetta 2, I start the console and amiibo crap hit the screen faster than I hit the home menu. What is amiibo and why should I care?

Like the Skylanders and Disney Infinity figures.
They're not really kids toys, they're not anything like Skylanders or Disney Infinity figures either.
AHEM,
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/AmiiboQuote:
Amiibo (Japanese: アミーボ Hepburn: Amībo?, stylized as amiibo) is a wireless communications and data storage protocol, designed by Nintendo for use between compatible toys and the Nintendo 3DS and Wii U gaming platforms. It was launched in November 2014 in the form of system software updates and a series of Amiibo-enabled figurines similar in form and functionality to that of the Skylanders, Disney Infinity, and Telepods series, and was preannounced to eventually accommodate card games. These figures use near field communication (NFC) to interact with supported video game software, potentially allowing data to be transferred in and out of games and across multiple platforms.
Amiibo figurines can be used directly with the Wii U GamePad and New Nintendo 3DS series,[3] with an adapter for the rest of the Nintendo 3DS series to be released in 2015.
Why do you think I said his post was bullshit?
Yes they're technically toys, but it's not bullshit that they're not like Skylanders or Disney Infinity, you level them up by fighting them up to level 50, and they get harder than a level 9 CPU. You guys have your opinions, and I have mine. But personally, they're awesome. Not to mention their designs are just like their trophies in Smash Bros. Which is personally awesome.
The games, and the figures are for children.
:| Bullshit. It's for everyone. But keep being ignorant, for all I care.
I'm getting a little annoyed with kids playing online mp atm :ugh:
They always spoil decent sniping positions.
