Hi knight.
I'd ask one of you guys if you'd be up for some net play but emulation without a controller is blasphemy.(I really should check the 2 corded ps2 contollers sitting in my room to see if the work or not)
Yeah I have a Nokia Lumia 520 which was all I had for a couple months until I got a cheap tablet. Windows phones are kinda poopy with what's available. Consider getting a cheap tablet or anything Android even something fairly low end is still capable of DC and PSP emulation. But like someone said (Grouch???) A netbook may be handy too for light gaming and emulation or a used laptop. Got my last laptop for only 180 bucks and it was capable of running Skyrim with lowish settings and RE5 almost maxed out for some reason ran great until I broke it. But in the end old psx rpgs will keep you going for a bit as there's a ton of them. Don't worry. I'm dirt poor too :)
Fury Road so good. :awesome:
duo core 2.30 2gb ddr3 and an intel gma 4500m gfx.
Ahh. Probably the integrated Intel graphics. I was lucky enough to get mine with an albeit integrated as well, Nvidia something or other chipset. Can't remember the number. It was a Core2duo 2.3 with 4gb ram so that maybe made the difference.
I had bad overheating problems with it though which I'm sure some of you will remember. Think that's what ultimately killed it. That and getting mad and throwing it one time
Nevermind. I pulled out the ram and dvd drive. Maybe I can get a few bucks for those. Gonna throw the rest out.
It was me. I got a used netbook on ebay for around $60. :D
It's better than android tablets (and android netbooks) because in the end it's a PC, so you can install PC software on it. There are plenty of stuff you can't do with the tablets that are possible on PCs.
morning btw

Sup Spose.
Oh god I know those feels. Pretty sure I never finished it. Actually, there are a lot of scrolling shooters like that for me. ^^;;; I love the genre, and there was a point where along with RPGs, they were pretty much all I played. But there aren't that many I've actually finished. I usually clear the opening levels with relative ease, and then get stuck on the second to last or last level. There often seems to come a point where the amount of work required to finish the game for a player of my skill level doesn't really seem worth the reward of actually finishing it. :'D
shmupz
Play shooters, they consistently get worse as you progress through the game, so you wont have the same problems. lol

PS2 models seem more anime-esque and I don't really understand the hair color change lol
Is there any PS2 undubs for FFX and if there is, do you think it would be superior to PS3 version dubbed?
poop
Don't know and I don't care.
I didn't even know they'd re-dubbed the HD versions.
Just think of the HD jubblies!
Pretty sure I've seen undubs of FFX listed on torrent sites before, and I'd be surprised if someone hasn't undubbed it given how famous it is, assuming it doesn't offer any particular technical challenges. And it's up to you and what's important to you, really. The current wave of HD game remasters is what it is, really, and you probably know better than anyone whether rebuying the games is worth it for you personally.
:bored:
Off out now, don't all post too many times while I'm away.
:wav:
I haven't bought it before, so I'm choosing whether I should play it on PS2 or PS3. PS3 seems to have better graphics while PS2 would have better audio because of the music thing. I was wondering if anyone had played the J versions they could tell me how well the dub is, I know SE does a good job with dubbing usually, but just wanted to make sure. ^_^
EDIT: Just to clarify, I haven't played FFX before. I think I'm gonna play it in summer but can't decide which version to go with. My guts tell me to go with the original, but that comparison video's just.... Well PS3 version is definitely superior to PS2 version in terms of graphics.
I beat Wolfenstein New Order this week, it's a pretty good game actually.
I'm still stuck in wolf 3d episode 2
I played a little bit on a laptop my uncle gave me as a kid but I never played it seriously or even tried to beat it.
New season of Twin Peaks, get hype.
I've played it in both languages, and I think the Japanese voice acting is a pretty big step up in this case. I actually really liked the Japanese cast in FFX, and while the English dub is definitely among the better of its era (and miles ahead of most PS1 / early PS2 era English dubs of Japanese games), I could see it being a bit cringeworthy by modern standards given how much English dubbing of Japanese games has come on in the last however many years. With something like FFXII, I'd say play it in either language (actually, I think I might even have liked FFXII a little better in English~ ^^;;;), but in FFX's case, I think the Japanese track is definitely still the better of the two.
That being said, the English dub still isn't that bad, and it's not at all something like Grandia or Arc Rise Fantasia where the dub is so awful that it comes close to spoiling the entire game. So I wouldn't call it a deal breaker or anything. Also, I might be a little biased because I tend towards media in its native language, whatever that language might be. Up to you, really. ^^;;; You could always google videos of the two dubs, and see if the difference is significant enough to you to outweigh the appeal of the PS4 version? Pretty sure there will be playthroughs of both on Youtube.
