I am not a car enthusiast, but I still drive a manual transmission car, probably because I am poor and its cheaper.

Automatics are for women.
One less thing to do...
I drive automatic. LOOK MAH ONLY ONE HAND and all that. So nice. :]
Turning the wheel with one hand does not equal driving with one hand! You don't release your grip of the wheel when you change gear, do you? :P
Can't wait until I can drive on basic roads confidently, so I can get cracking with roundabouts and shit.
I'm fine with one handed steering while you're getting up the gears, but people that drive on a motorway with just one hand at the bottom of the wheel irritate the shit out of me.
I've been told that I can't remove hands from the wheel ever. I'm okay with the instructor telling me things I'll never do when I'm driving on my own, because I'm only learning their way to get my license.
For a first lesson I had the car up to 30MPH and used 3rd gear.
Considering I've not got a feel for steering OR the pedals yet, I'm pretty happy with that.
test
was thinkin about buyin mafia 2 but no point cant play :(
Shame. Great game.
I don't even understand how people stall so much. I reckon my next lesson I should have no problems pulling away any more. Mind you, I still don't know if I'll have a feel for the pedals yet, I've been pressing them way too hard. :(
Aw my new usertitle doesn't work. :(

Super sleepy. :(
Just curious, what did you people learn to drive in?
I'm learning in a Peugeot 206 1.1 litre.
For those of you that don't know shit all about which car that is

With my dad I drove either a Saab 9-5 or an old Opel or something. At the driving school we drove a really nice Volvo. It had this strange key which you press into a slot and it just gets sucked in. Like a tape. So awesome. Never seen anything like that before. Oh and the parking brake was a small handle on the left side of the steering wheel. Kinda hard to describe but it felt so futuristic!
Saab 9-5! Very nice!
The car I'm learning in is over 10 years old now I think, and they can be had for around £500-1000 used so I think it's a reasonable car to learn in, since I can buy one once I have passed my test if I like the car...
Of course it's the 1.4 - 1.9 Diesel that are £500. It's like £900+ for a decent 1.1 :(
I don't know much about cars so I find it hard to say anything about their performances really. But 9-5 is nice to drive. And my parents got a pretty new Opel Vectra which also is really nice to drive.
I got my brother's PS2 modded and now it won't read any discs.
I'm gonna take it again there to have them take a look at it, it was an unopened PS2 and the guy said I had a cloned laser drive, so I'm guessing he will say it's because of that. But funny enough, it used to read original discs just fine before yesterday.
