Depends on block size. Blocks here are about a mile each, whereas in Manhatten they're 260 feet one way and 900 the other.

Depends on the town/city, a block is literally just a block of building/whatever separated by streets. A block can be different in length depending on which direction you're going too, and generally varies from block to block.
