What? 2 was a trainwreck and PW is really only good by portable MGS standards.
Gah.
Mom being invasive.
Avoided her from finding out about the forums, Cuz she hates my freedom on the internet.
Told me to uninstall all the games I don't play because she thinks that they're the only cause of her user booting up kinda slow.
Uninstalls the games I will never play, deletes shortcuts for the rest.
No, she thinks it's the ONLY reasson/
No doubt she has AVG, MS Security Essentials, Norton, and all sorts of other things that run at start up.
Yep.
She is so retarded when it comes to technology
Brownie with fruit salsa.
Kohan bought, downloading tomorrow while the disc is being shipped :].
Anyone want a referral to a survey site?
So close to getting a gift card, just need a 1000 more points, which is how much a referral will get me.
Then I can get a new MP3 player to replace my broken one.
I'd totally have that plat too if I didn't keep getting distracted by the online.
*cough* Level 56 *cough*
I need a better hobby.
And yet I'm avoiding the co-op adventure levels.
Because blind runs R teh bestest.
I'll volunteer if someone sends me a copy.
Good point. We can always avoid bringing it up.
What a coincidence, I have a female voice too!
Although on the topic of interesting messages, I like how I've gotten several messages in Dark Souls in Jap/Korean/Chinese. Ah international Peer to Peer netplay. You create such hilarious situations.
Although the chinese bit boggles the mind. You'd think they'd be trying to run a cash shop somewhere in there. Guess all those chinese folks aren't all gold farmers after all. Still. WHERE'S MY GODDAMN MIMIC HAT?
We shall all pose as a group of sorority sisters who all find Drake strikingly handsome. We shall giggle and talk about what we'd do to him. The best part is, you'd never know how much me and tan are actually pretending. Well. possibly in my case. I regret nothing.
That would work until you realize there's 2 ending trophies and it autosaves after you make the choice about which ending to get. Still. not having to worry about getting all 3 of Sif's weapons would cut down on the repeat plays. Who gave that wolf 2 swords AND a shield? Stupid Ammy.
Anyway, I've been meaning to play this game since I got off of work about 4.5 hours ago.
I should stop chatting about it and actually turn on the console, probably.
Flynn made me want to play Dragon Age so I could talk to Alistair, does that count?
I came across him by accident. Because a set of big glowing doors across an ominous looking bridge is just too much for me to resist. I actually survived longer than I thought I would, got him down to about half health before he finally caught me without enough stamina to block and killed me.
I had plans for Halloween (super obscure Korean horror game), but I was...erm...busy. I had a backup plan of possibly covering the other bit of Alone in the Dark, but I'm still hesitant to go back to it after the fucking migraine it caused me the first time. Well. that. and trying to avoid getting depressed over the fact I've been around for a quarter of a century. To note, if I took after my sister my oldest child would be the same age I was when I became an uncle. Feel. So. OLD.
I'm supposed to finish up Catherine. But I haven't been able to get around to it lately.
I did make an effort to finally update Zero 3 last weekend, but I kinda spaced.
Right now a combination of my personal life, my professional life, my preparation for the future, my romantic involvements, and clearing my gaming backlog/the highly anticipated releases of the last little bit has been keeping me from doing LP work as my gaming has been mostly for personal enjoyment.
I was thinking about perhaps doing a short demo of a bit of UC3's single player (possibly the opening areas or something similar) or covering some multiplayer hijinks but I've kinda talked myself out of that.
I need to clear an evening off to record/edit a Z3 video and get cracking on another run through Catherine for LP completion purposes.
Good luck :wav:
And remember, free that pyromancer in the depths and once you get your catalyst up to around +10 check the pillars near Blighttown's water wheel. That Nazgul looking thing will supply you with so much awesome.
Why yes, it does. But alas, no Flynn. Perhaps if they removed Elena there'd be room for him. Possibly as a zombie of some kind. I take back anything positive I said about her previously. She's just as annoying in 3 as she was in 1. Perhaps moreso due to taking several levels in bitchiness.
He's one of the easier late game bosses. He's part of a fetch quest to fight one of the most annoying bosses in the game. Why is it among the most annoying bosses? Because it's 4 bosses
Which reminds me.
Did you find, when there were more than two people in your "party" (like the citadel, with Chloe, Sully, and Cutter), that they got in your way way too much?
As in, stealing your cover and generally just standing in the way "talking" during other scenes?
'cause that pissed me off a lot through the game.
Not especially. However when I replayed a couple chapters for the technical combat trophies (EG: Leapfrog. 4 explosive kills) the amount of "plot sequences" seemed really intrusive compared to how it was in 2. I felt there were many more of those unskippable Half Life style cutscenes littered about and it took a lot longer for combat sections to pop up where I could actually make progress on the trophies. It felt like for every 10 minutes of standing around talking waiting for someone to open a door or for the next platforming bit to kick in, I'd get maybe 5 enemies or so. When you need to pull off 75 kills, that gets really annoying.
And I was specifically aiming for the more combat heavy chapters. I can't imagine trying to do it late game with stuff like the desert sequence happening.
Not really. I'm up late when I don't work and tend to be on pretty late in the evening. It's not like you all aren't on then.
My primary recording laptop is terrible too. It's all about the settings.
I wrote a FAQ and everything.
Personally, if I can record PC games and all of my emulator shit on a mid range laptop from 8 years ago I think anyone would be fine. I even use it for my capture card stuff since using my NEW SHINY SHININESS lead to supposed audio errors.
It worked fine in Baldur's gate. Aside from my occasional absence, Ryan going missing after a session or two, and that week Tan was all like MY INNERNETS NO WARK RITE :C :C :C
Yeah, I ran into that problem too. But I found that Cutter always used to steal my cover, and when I would go and try and hide, I would end up rolling right into everyone's line of fire. Or, in some places, I would be trying to walk around to "explore" and they would all be standing in a circle like they were sharing a joint, and kept stepping in my way.
I ended up just replaying Chapter 4 until I eventually got the Survivor trophy. I think it popped about halfway through Chapter 5. Took a bit of time, but the environment didn't kill me as often in those chapters as, say, the ship areas, where I would inexplicably jump sideways and fall to my death.
The only reason I never got around to doing the three PS1 MMX games is because I couldn't figure out how to get it to record both my voice and the game audio without recording the game audio through the mic as it was played through the speakers. Because fuck trying to sync up the sound after the fact, and also fuck my inability to speak for more than 30 seconds without going "Uh... um... *breath heavily through nose*" At least if I record them together, I can say "Osry, wuz consentradin' on da gaym."
All I recall from IWD2 was... Hypnos falling asleep and Ivolt fighting invisible orcs. Also "LOL I CAN'T TALK TO VENDORS CUZ MY CHARISMA IS -3"
I wear some headphones with the mic operating on a different circuit. Cancels out any game audio showing up even when the headset is right next to them.
Unless you're having the Tan problem in which case it's a configuration issue with Audacity/Windows. Setting windows to "record from mic" and setting Audacity to do the same usually fixes it. Then you simply have to mix your recorded mic audio into the video file (which will contain the game audio as well). And yes, pulling commentary whilst playing is not an easy skill to develop. Possibly explains why those speed levels typically devolve into "oh shit shit shit, gotta get through. motherfucker, oh shit shit shit shit fuck fucking shit"
It's a sad, sad day when I'm the party's mouthpiece. Despite being an evil angry midget thief with some nonhuman blood.
I have had some weird issues. Like randomly coming out of cover. Rolling into cover not working (in U2 you'd "slide", in U3 it seems like you just roll towards the wall. then stand up to get a face full of lead). And some instances of enemies arcing bullets around/over cover killing you when there's no conceivable way they could unless the bullets were changing trajectory. Which is sorta fine since Drake has had that ability since U1. I figure it's about time everyone pulled that Wanted shit.
I found pushing them or shooting near then got them moving. I did however run into a mild glitch with Cutter during the water part of that globe puzzle. He refused to activate the second set of switches. Rebooting the game fixed it, though. And young drake at one point refused to grab onto a lamp post and swing his way across a gap. An identical jump post death had entirely different (and correct) results.
Also, screen tearing. So, so much. At one point there was a massive polygon of unloaded texture embedded in Drake during the chateau level.
Also. Cola just reminded me I need to do at least part of MMX6 for Z3 to make sufficient sense.
Especially if I opt to point out the alternate interpretations and possible original concept for that plot point.
Fuck.
WoW IS CONSUMING MY LIFE! :ahhh:
SOMEONE HALP!
