I don't know if I can return it. I don't know what kind of return window it had and I've had it for two weeks and have used it for those 2 weeks plus I cfw'd it.

Dying in two weeks means it was on it's way out/was practically dead when you got it. Was it eBay? I didn't want to go back and look. If it was eBay as long as you didn't already leave positive feedback you are still well within the claim window. The cfw didn't harm it at all, not that they'd even be able to tell anyway since it's totally boned.
On most stuff it doesn't matter but something like a fat PS3 that is prone to failure, definitely good to wait. I'm pretty sure that makes it so you can't file a claim but I guess you could check, or just message the seller (but I suspect they likely knew it was about to ylod).
If you win a claim eBay would cover the shipping, but I thiiiink you can't cause of the feedback. You can check though.

This is the one that pissed me off the most. This is the most comfortable pad i've ever used tbh but they cut so many corners in its construction. Amazon denied me a refund (only offered credit and i said and i quote "your drivers steal my packages, why would i want to continue shopping with you?" and havent since. Still works but yeah i have sync issues when the pad gets possesed and starts switch between ps3, android and pc mode. The catches inside are as brittle as a pensioners legs, i dropped it a FOOT between my legs onto carpeted floor and it snapped the catch inside the L2 button so there is no...theres no resistance now :( and even a gust of wind will make the pad think its the l2 button is pressd.

half an hour before anything good is on tv god I'm bored :bore:
Stinks about the PS3. Here's hoping you're able to get your money back.
FEAR is a more demanding game than Oblivion and it has engine issues.
There are optimization mods for Oblivion too.
Oh PSN, you never change
*cat noises*
I was running morrowind on a [email protected] netbook with 1GB RAM and Intel GMA. If your laptop can only probably run morrowind, slap whoever you bought it from.
Think he said his laptop was a dual core (no idea which kind, there's tons of them) 2gb ram and think it was some lower end Intel HD GPU. I think he could run Morrowind and Oblivion both with some tinkering on Oblivion - certainly no worse graphics settings than what it runs on the PS3 too.
I mean hell I got Skyrim working (720p) on that old core2duo 2ghz(?) 4gb ram with an Intel GMA 945 laptop that I bought from Drageuth 7 years ago. Took some tweaking and maybe a mod/patch or something (might have even used 3Danalyzer) for the GPU but it worked. Of course that laptop ended up melting eventually :lol
That was the same laptop I got FFX working with PCSX2 reasonably playable then too - which as you recall you didn't believe me :P
Skyrim would load into game on the laptop I mentioned above but the fog was solid and opaque. Once in a while some face would be close enough in the carriage to poke through, but not even close to playable.
FFX...reasonably playable... I'm thinking 4-8FPS on a menu driven game. Am I in the ballpark? :D
Naw we went through this way back I think. The opening with Sin and everything in Zanarkand was shit slow (probably 10-12fps sometimes jumping up) but once it opened up I was getting 45-50 fps. Certain things really slowed it down like casting Shiva and some fmvs. But random battles worked full speed. Made it to the Calm lands when I did this. I had a special plugin specific to old Intel GMA's too. But yeah still sucked.
My desktop is a Core2Duo 2.9 ghz with 4gb ram and an Nvidia GT710 and can run it at 2x native - just slows down a tad in the Omega dungeon. Of course PCSX2 is much better now though.
so I got a response to my refund request. the guy wants to give me a partial refund and let me keep the ps3 I think I might go for it depending on the amount.
